About Rachael Jones
I was raised in Warton, attending the village school, singing in the church choir for many years, and love this ribbon village nestling beneath the Crag. I am now a Secondary School Mathematics teacher in the South of England.
Rachael Jones purchased this House in 1996
Why Rachael Jones chose Warton
The Stables is a much cared for family home, set in the most beautiful part of the country. The barn is now offered as a holiday home as I couldn't bear to part with it. I hope you'll agree!

Property exactly as described. Everything you need and more. Extremely clean couldn’t fault anything. Dealing with Rachael from start to finish great with quick replies to any questions. Anne was on hand if we needed anything.
Lucky we had lovely weather, lots of nice places to visit. Locals in village pubs all friendly.
Would like to return if we get an opportunity.

A great location for a keen naturalist!
A very comfortable week spent in this lovely property. After a day out searching the local area, nature reserves and SSSI's The Stables was an excellent place to come home to.
Ideally located to enjoy the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales (and the Three Peaks), wildlife at Leighton Moss (featured in Autumn Watch) and the beautiful Morecambe Bay.
The property is set within a rural location in the village of Warton, with its connections to the George Washington family, two Public Houses, both serving real ale and home made food, and a Post Office.
There are a multitude of walks in the area including the Warton Crag, from your door, offering the most beautiful views over Morecambe Bay.
If you enjoy water sports there is water skiing, sailing, kayaking and Banana boating at Pine Lake Resort, a mere mile away.
Visit the historic County Town of Lancaster, famous for its castle and witches.
Leighton Moss, featured on the BBC programme Autumn Watch, a mere mile away, is a paradise for bird watchers.
Bring your bikes, or hire them locally, as with over 70km of traffic free cycle paths, Lancaster and Morecambe are some of the best places in the country to cycle.
