Wonderful house + fabulous location + helpful owners = great vacation
We have rented homes on Martha's Vineyard for many years, and this is the best house we've ever had. The location is fabulous: one block from the beach and a couple blocks from Circuit Ave. The house is very well maintained and scrupulously clean, The kitchen is well equipped, we dined like kings on tomatoes and corn and fresh fish on the grill.
Nina and Peter (the owners) live just a few blocks away -- when the grill ran out of propane, Peter came by with a spare tank within 15 minutes (I think he may have taken it off his own grill!) Thanks for saving our dinner!
At the peak of our visit we had nine people staying at the house. That was a little crowded for the two bathrooms, but there is also an outdoor shower, and with a little bit of thought and courtesy we all managed fine.
We definitely hope to stay here again in the future.
The house was large enough to accommodate 4 families with Teens & Tweens..Location was perfect- something for everyone!
Rented home week of the 4th of July 2019
Family Vacation/20th Wedding Renewal Ceremony. WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER!!! We are still talking about it, lovely home, plenty of space, loved the porch which was the hang out, 2 refrigerator (one colder than the other), every thing is supplied in the home. Bring your own sheets and towels, we ordered them and paid $260 for 7 day rental. I would return for sure.
Meet the most walkable home in Oak Bluffs
This darling home is prime location in Oak Bluffs for families. The beach, crosswalk, and sunrise are at the end of the street to the east, Ocean Park a short walk north, grocery and shopping on circuit ave a short walk northwest, tabernacle and trinity circle a short walk west, and a beautiful playground a short walk southwest. Yes, it’s the most walkable home in Oak Bluffs.
The home evokes nostalgia with some antique furniture and photographs of Oak Bluffs/cottage city throughout.
The best part? This cottage is large enough for families (unlike a lot of the smaller cottages). It still has the quirks of a cottage but we were able to relax comfortably here and that says a lot when three days were downpour. We were happily surprised to find games and a puzzle to keep us occupied but there are also 3 TVs and the large, lovely porch made it easy to pass the time.
Nina was within easy reach by text which was reassuring and was a very gracious host in all of our communication.
A few things you may want to know aside from the above:
1. Bring your water shoes for Inkwell beach since it can be a little rocky. (Fun times for little rock collectors)
2. Bring kites for Ocean park!
3. Bring towels/linens or rent them
4. Be cognizant that you’ll need to clean (sweep, trash, wash) at the end of your stay. We enjoyed it since it was our way of showing gratitude to the house. The hired cleaning crew probably relaxed with a glass a Chardonnay at the end of our stay. ;)
5. If you stay in June or early season, be prepared for construction noise. These homes gotta stay lovely somehow!
Hope you have as wonderful a stay as us and thanks again, Nina & family for the stay in this sweet home. Many blessings!
Great house, great location!
My friends and I had a great time on the Vineyard this past weekend! This house was in a great location. Walking distance to ferry and shops/restaurants. The beach is a block away. The house was spotless when we got there. It had everything we needed and more! The porch in this house is where we lived. Absolutely perfect! The only issue was the shower in the upstairs bathroom. The water temp kept changing mid-shower, making it very tricky. We all ended up using the downstairs shower and the outdoor one. This was a minor glitch to an otherwise perfect house. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
Comfortable & Convenient
The home was roomy & bright, very comfortable. You do not need a car to get around because it is close to restaurants, shops, beach, & ferry. We had a great time & would without a doubt stay in this house again.
