Cute little house - I'd stay again.
The house was warm and spacious. The neighborhood seemed fine - it's an old part of town and the houses are very close together. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and were very clean. The beds were comfortable and the coverings were nice. A few things we feel it needed: A rain gutter over the front door; larger entry way rugs (it was snowing pretty heavy when we were there and we felt like we tracked in a lot of moisture); perhaps a bench or seat of some kind at the doors; and additional seating in the living room. The garage is convenient, but too short to park our shortbox F250 pickup in. So my sister-in-law parked her van in there! Negatives - The upstairs is a converted attic so the ceilings are quite slanted so watch your head. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have these ceilings - I'm tall so bonked my head often. We felt there was way to many shampoos, conditioners, body washes, etc in the showers. Also, bar soap and loofahs seem unsanitary. There needs to be shelves/counters in the bathroom near the sink for setting your personal toiletries. Not room for that upstairs, but it could be done downstairs (oh, and that fan needed repair and cleaning). There was food in the kitchen cupboard - it might just be us, be we are not interested in sharing strangers opened food. With all that said - it really is a good place to stay. We really enjoyed it.
Very cute, property with a great little backyard. Awesome to have a place to unwind and do a little grilling after a days adventures. Could not believe how much space there was - just perfect! Almost all the comforts of home nestled just at the base of the mountains! The property owner and manager were very friendly, helpful and answered all the questions I could ask along with providing some travel tips and sights to see. Will be contacting them in the future when traveling this direction.
Convenient Home Base
Great place that provided a convenient home base for exploring ghost towns scattered throughout the area. House was exceptionally clean, and even with 80 degree weather was extremely cool in the evening. Big plus for us too, was that it had a washer and dryer, which was perfect since we had been out on dusty trails. Owner was great about communicating and checking in to see if we needed anything.
The neighborhood is definitely a working class neighborhood. People out on their porches, and sidewalk smoking, talking, walking their dogs etc. We didn't have any issues with anyone, but we were only in the house in the late evenings.
One recommendation to the owner would be a larger couch, as it was a bit of a tight fit to watch a movie, for more than 2 people. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
Anaconda row house review
Positives: The house is completely remodeled (do it yourself) and very clean. The owner was very responsive. Back yard completely fenced with secure garage for the vehicle. Only 3 blocks from main street downtown. Priced right.
Negatives: Marginal neighborhood. Although there are privacy fences on both sides of yard, one neighbor stuck his head out the door and told us to "shut up". We were not being loud and our dogs were not barking. It may have been directed at the neighbor on the other side. The other negative was the stairs in the house. The front stairs are spiral, wood, which was fine for adults but not for carrying luggage or allowing our dogs to use them. There is a 2nd, back stairway but it is very steep, steps are short, no railing at the top. Overall, rated this property at 4 stars, especially given the price per night.
Cute and clean 3 bedroom
Very cute 3 bedroom. Place was clean and easy to find. Shower on the first floor needs to be tightened but the water pressure was good. Beds were very comfortable. Property manager checked in with us to make sure everything was as we expected.
One week in Anaconda
It was a cozy home in a convenient location. I would recommend this property for a family stay. There was enough privacy for all.
