Beautiful, old farmhouse, entirely renovated to a very high standard and offering circa 150 M2 of living space including 3 double bedrooms. Modern, luxurious and bright interior with original features including wooden beams, and French oak ceiling and bread ovens in the lounge. With its large private grounds and nice views over the valley below, this is a great home for getting away from it all, yet perfectly located for visiting the famous Côte d'Or wine region beginning about a fifteen-minute drive away, the lovely, historic wine capital of Beaune, and so much more. Green cycling path departs from our village of Thury along the old railway track.
Comfort + : very efficient JOTUL wood burner, X-Large Bathroom with separate "Italian" shower space, 2 separate toilet rooms, 3 double bedrooms. Fully equipped utility space etc. Luxury furniture & equipment throughout the house. Broadband Internet, Large flatscreen TV and smaller TV in master bedroom, with French and UK channels.

We spent a wonderful week in this splendid house, and the surroundings are beautiful. Excellent location. Owners very communcative and friendly. The house is very spacious and very clean and everything provided. Just a GREAT place. Would definitely recommend renting this house. Lots of lovely villages to visit and lovely walks. Everything was perfect.

Wir haben mit unseren Kindern eine wunderbare Herbstwoche in Carolyns Haus verbracht. Das Ferienhaus ist ein sehr schönes, bestens gepflegtes und komplett ausgestattetes Anwesen in ruhiger Lage oberhalb von Thury. Vielen Dank an Nathalie für den freundlichen Empfang und die Übergabe.

Lovely stay
Not often you pick a venue which meets all expectations. The booking process and communication was clear and untroubled. The property is clean has lots of space, quite and not overlooked. The pictures represent the property well. Would recommend a stay, if you want somewhere quiet and un hassled.

Tolles Haus in absolut ruhiger Umgebung
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Lage war gut, die Aufteilung nahezu perfekt und die Freiheit im Garten das absolute Highlight. Leider ließ die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen übrig. Viele Ecken waren sehr staubig, zum Beipspiel unter dem Waschtisch im Bad. Die Spielgeräte im Garten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und daher vielleicht schon etwas unsicher, aber es gab so viele Bewegungsmöglichkeiten... Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, sodass vieles möglich wird. Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft.

Unser Aufenthalt in Carolyns Ferienhaus war wieder genauso schön wie im letzten Sommer. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle ein drittes Mal wieder! Wahrscheinlich nicht nächstes Jahr, aber im naher Zukunft bestimmt!

Franco-Irish family with 2 children, we live in another region of France although "Papa" is originally from the Côte D'Or department in Burgundy. We inherited this ancient farmhouse which has belonged to our family for several generations. This has been a labour of love renovation project, and is a great getaway from our otherwise hectic lives.

Why they chose this property

We decided that it would be a good idea to rent our home from 2016, now that is completely renovated and furnished. We cannot avail of it as often as we would like and would like for others to enjoy it as well as the Cote d'Or region with its famous wines nearby and proximity to the lovely old wine capital of Beaune.
With our future holidaymakers fully in mind, we also intend to continue investing in our home to the same high standards, including the addition of an outdoor swimming pool in the coming years and perhaps a conversion or partial conversion of the attic. We will use seasonal rental income for this purpose as well as to help with ongoing costs of this secondary home in its current configuration and to add elements this year such as outdoor playing equipment for children, bicyles for all ages etc.

- Very Cosy in Autumn and the Winter and perfect in the Spring and Summer for outdoor living and enjoying the views of the valley below
- Highly efficent, clean combustion wood burner for an extra cosy dimension, otherwise central floor heating
- Excellent broadband Internet (14 - 18 MB)
-Large, flat screen TV in the lounge, and smaller TV in the Master bedroom
- XL bathroom with separate Italian shower area
- 2 separate toilet rooms
- Generous surface area, top class renovation, luxury equipement & furnishings throughout the house ...
- GREEN CYLCING PATH along the old railway line with a departure from our village of Thury..for cycling ethousiasts, there are some great cycyling treks through the vineyards and to the famous Burgundy Canal with departures near to our home.
