TI KAZ AN NOU: Cottage on the leeward coast that can accommodate, 2, 4 or 5 people.
Magnificent gite located on a hill at 50m above sea level, well ventilated. Quiet, 5 minutes' walk from Leroux beach, a real gem, especially under the setting sun where you may have the chance to observe the furtive "Green Ray". Shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
We are located just 5 km from the typical village of Deshaies with its famous botanical garden, its fishing port and the Grande Anse beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Basse-Terre, surrounded by coconut trees and where you can discover traditional and inexpensive cuisine in the “lolos”.
Our Cottage, comfortably equipped and decorated, is welcoming and warm.
The fully equipped kitchen opens onto a 57 m2 terrace which also allows you to have lunch or relax outside facing the Caribbean Sea with the island of Montserrat on the horizon. Its 2 bedrooms (with 1 beds of 160 and 1 bed of 180) both give onto the terrace; one of them overlooks the sea, the other overlooks the mountain. Its mezzanine includes 1 single bed, 1 living room with television and a desk. We can accommodate 2, 4 to 5 people. The bathroom has a spacious shower, the toilets are independent.
Household linen is provided (sheets, towels, tea towels, table napkins), WiFi, air conditioning, fans, washing machine, safe.
The planter will wait for you from the 1st evening as well as fruit and breakfast the next day. You will therefore be ready to discover this magnificent island which offers many activities; hiking, diving, Soufriere, Carbet falls, cocoa house ... and of course the numerous rum distilleries on the island ... And why not a getaway to Les Saintes and Marie Galante?
We propose to put you in contact with a car rental company. For your information, plane arrivals are in the afternoon and depending on the season, it is dark from 5.30 p.m. or 6.30 p.m. A precise airport rental itinerary will be sent to you.
You can take advantage of the direct sale of fresh fish by local fishermen in the port of Baillargent (municipality of Pointe Noire) 5 minutes from the Gîte. A display rack is also at your disposal where you will find all the "good plans" from our experience on the island.
We want to come back to the discovery of the seabed: in fins-mask-snorkel (PMT) you will already discover a wide variety of corals, multicolored fish and turtles (be careful, do not touch anything to avoid any risk of sting, bite or burn…). The Cousteau reserve located in Malendure (20 min from the house) offers a magnificent spectacle. You can also dive from the centers near the Gîte; "Piton Plongée" in Deshaies with Balou, "Baillantes Tortues" at the port of Baillargent with Cor and Chantal. We discovered diving in Guadeloupe ourselves… and are now addicted!
One last piece of advice: take the crossing route to reach Grande Terre and discover exceptional lush vegetation…

Agréable escapade !

Fuyant l'hiver canadien, nous avons passé deux tranquilles et agréables mois et demi dans le confortable logement offert par les sympathiques Sylvie et Christophe. Accueillants, respectueux et attentionnés, nos hôtes ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable. La propriété, très bien située, est idéale pour quiconque aime le calme, les grands horizons et les couchers de soleil spectaculaires. La plage Leroux est à 8 minutes de marche à l'aller et 12 minutes au retour (ça grimpe !). Apportez masque, palmes et snorkel ! Les nombreux restaurants de Deshaies sont à 8 minutes de voiture. La côte ouest de Basse Terre, plus "naturelle" que Grande Terre, offre quantité de plages, restaurants, marchés et autres activités touristiques. Hiver oublié, escapade réussie ! Nous reviendrons. Note : le "rayon vert" n'est pas une légende...

Séjour très agréable avec des hôtes fort sympathiques

C’est notre 3e séjour à Deshaies et notre première rencontre avec Sylvie. Tout a été fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable. On s’est vraiment senti comme chez nous. Nous tenons à souligner son accueil chaleureux et généreux. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Merci pour tout.

Logement propre et complet

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour bien situé pour explorer les plages du côté Pacifique, en particulier la plage Leroux, à environ 5 minutes à pied. Amateurs de PMT ( palmes-masque-tuba), c'est LA plage à frequenter! De plus, 2 chaises transat sont mises à la disposition des locataires afin de faire la farniente sur une des nombreuses plages. Les colibris et nombreux autres oiseaux sauront vous divertir lors de vos pauses sur la terrasse. Apportez votre chasse moustiques car ce n'est pas un environnement sec et bétonné autour mais de la végétation luxuriante! Un bémol pour les commerces de proximité, offre très restreinte. Pensez faire vitre épicerie avant d'arriver. Très peu de restaurants également. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la douche extérieure, rafraichissante au retour de la plage ( sans crainte, il y en a une intérieure aussi 😉). À essayer!

Vacances de fin d'année

Logement très agréable avec belle vue, bien placé. L'accueil était très chaleureux (le meilleur que nous ayons jamais eu dans nos nombreuses locations de vacances). Sylvie est attentionnée, s'est gentiment adaptée à nos horaires et nous a fourni des conseils utiles sur la vie à la Guadeloupe. Nous avons bien profité de notre séjour avec activités le matin et plage le soir. De merveilleux souvenirs pour nous.

Un très bon séjour, entre mer et nature!

Un très bon séjour! Nous avons apprécié la grande terrasse donnant sur le jardin fleuri avec vue mer. Quel plaisir de pouvoir observer colibris et autres oiseaux et d'écouter les bruits de la nature! Et une jolie petite plage à qques minutes à pied, c'est parfait. Joli quartier très agréable. Boulangerie et épicerie bien achalandée à proximité. Sylvie et Christophe ont été à la fois très disponibles et réactifs tout en sachant rester discrets, merci à eux pour cet accueil au top! Nous recommandons vivement aux amoureux de la nature et de la tranquillité!
