What makes this Chalet unique
There is a hand burned compass rose in the upstairs floor that measures 5x5 ft. and is covered in epoxy for a high gloss. It is oriented to north so you will always know your path. The sun rises directly across form the cottage and provides a breathtaking start to the day. When the sun sets it reflects off of the far shore striking a canvas of orange and pink over the water and clouds providing a wonderful show to end the day.

Definitely hoping to return...
Our family of six adults enjoyed a one week stay here at beginning of April. It was the perfect location to be near our son's family, only three miles away on the Mountain Rd. A brand new log home sitting along the water with gorgeous sunrise views from either of two large decks, it was well equipped with a pantry having everything you'd need in way of cookware, paper products, spices, etc. And although there were two markets only seven miles away in brunswick, a vegetable store a mile down the road was convenient for basic essentials. The wi-fi was strong and reliable, the two flat screen tvs much appreciated, and the owners a phone call away if needed. The only surprise during our stay was for those who looked forward to sitting on the porch during warmer spring days and enjoying the water views and instead being greeted by two snowfalls and an ice storm!!!
However , it was just as nice, and a lot warmer, looking at same through the the large windows in the living room. Harley and Kristen have created such a welcoming and homey choice for a stay in Harpswell. They checked in on us via phone frequently to make sure all was well. Thank you again!
Harpswell has many nature preserves with hiking along the water and forests. Plenty of fresh lobsters and sea food. The area is know for the small beaches and great boating to see many islands and fishing spots. most of the Bays are perfect for Kayaking and swimming. Brunswick , Freeport and Portland Old Port are all with in an hours drive also filled with great ways to spent the day.
