This elegant home in the grounds of a mansion of an Empire General welcomes you to its charming nature, leafy barnyard of several hectares, adjacent to a large park overlooking Lake Aureilhan. It is located in a quiet area in the village of Aureilhan, close to the lake (500m), 2 kms from the town of Mimizan and 8 kms from the beaches. A bakery is located in the village.
For a capacity of 11 people, ground floor, with access for people with disabilities, it includes a cozy living / dining room with open kitchen and fireplace, a small lounge area with piano, 4 bedrooms including two parents with bathroom and toilet, a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet, and an independent space with a bedroom, a small sitting area and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Charming gîte in great location

This quiet, spacious gîte is located in the former stable of an old French manorhouse, between the corrals of a riding school and a huge lakeside park. For lovers of rural French countryside the place is ideal. The only downside is an intermittent odor from the Mimizan papermill several miles away; we noticed it on two days of our one-week stay. Mimizan plage and the ocean are just 8 km away and easy to reach by car. Kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped, the dining and living room is huge, with an impressive row of eight (!) windows looking out onto the prairie and park - my personal highlight. The bedrooms are a bit small but otherwise OK. The property manager lives nearby and will come whenever needed. She is very helpful and friendly. In summary, it was a wonderful week in a great location.
