Waterfront Home on lake Dunlap and 2.5 acres of beautiful 100' Cypress trees

Overview

Property Details

Updated: Jul 23, 2016
House, 3 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Camp Willow Cottages are located on the Lake Dunlap. Lake Dunlap is part of the guadalupe river. It is a constant level lake designed for skiing, lounging and swimming. 2 1/2 acres of lush green lawn with many 100 foot tall trees. We have 600 feet of water frontage with new fishing dock/pier. A great place to fish, swim or just relax. There is a small boat ramp for those who wish to trailer their fishing or ski boat.

It is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting-away from all the crowds.

Our Camp House is a casual lake house. It is the original farmhouse built on the property that I have renovated but it is still a quaint, eclectic house. We are pet friendly. It is 3 bedroom/2 bath and sleeps 12+people. It includes a wonderful deck on the front that overlooks the water, patio furniture, bbq grill. Washer and dryer in house. House is fully furnished with all bed & bath linens and kitchen utensils/dishes/pots/etc. Nicely decorated in a nautical/fishing motif. Comfortable and rustic casual.

We are located within 5-10 minutes of Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, the Guadalupe River, Gruene Hall and Wurstfest.

A great place for families and reunions. We have a launching ramp on site so bring your jet ski's or boat.

Also 2 cottages (sleep 8 each)

We also have the Red house that sleeps 10.

So the entire property can sleep 38.

We have lived in Texas for 21 years and enjoy everything about this state including the Texas Coast and wonderful rivers like the Guadalupe. My wife and I love the water and enjoy bringing our kids including our black labs to the water.

Comfortable, relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Our group came down for a 3-night getaway during the week, and it was nearly perfect. Yes the cabin is old, has uneven floors and window AC units, but it is simple and ideal as we spent majority of our time outside. The water front yard is large and well-maintained, and the dogs loved having the open space to run. We really enjoyed the fire pit. I do recommend bringing floats, etc to lounge/play in the water -- it is shallow enough to stand too.

Our biggest complaint was having only 2 trash bags available upon our arrival...we assumed there would be some...we left our box of trash bags for the next renters! Also, it wasn't a concern for us because we were preoccupied, but if you are really wanting/needing wifi, it seemed to have a very splotchy connection.

Great memories were made here, and I would definitely recommend this property to other laid back, low maintenance renters!!

Enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the cabin. It had all the needed amenities for our trip such as the grills, kitchen supplies and BBQ equipment. It was clean and well maintained. We appreciated access to canoes and kayaks as well. The cabin was well priced and not far from Schlitterbahn and historic Gruene. The check in and check out process was simple and straightforward. We would recommend this to others.

Lake and outside area was very pretty. House was very accommodating with internet, dishes, and appliances. Only bad thing that was there were dead cockroaches all over the house.

Beautiful water view. Older cabin, nothing fancy but well maintained. Huge yard with kayaks available. Big fire pit and several bbq pits. Stores/restaurants nearby. Owners and property manager hospitable and accommodating. Dog friendly. We didn't want to leave. Thank you

Quircky fun!

  • 5 of 5

The house was quirky, but everyone enjoyed that fact. The property is great and right on the water. The kayaks were a nice touch and there were plenty of chairs to lounge in riverside.

From the Owner

The 100'+ tall cypress trees on this property are amazing. Lots of shade and cool water breeze make this a hidden gem. My Kids love the swimming, fishing, and the huge camp fire site and me and my wife enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings.
