The townhouse is bright, airy and receives a wonderful breeze across the lake. Footsteps on the deck mobilizes the turtles as they rush to greet you in anticipation of food; they like 'Cheerios and gold fish.' Various birds complete the scenic picture. A deck and a balcony extend over a 3 acre lake in which our community enjoys fishing, canoeing, swimming, and the peaceful water fountain feature. Three floors, 3 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, T.V and ceiling fan. All three bedrooms have queen sized beds. Sleeps eight with queen sized blow up mattress. 1/4 mile to I-26 and 3/4 mile to I-526. 33 Restaurants in a 1 mile radius, 1 mile from Regal Cinemas, one mile from N. Charleston Colliseum, Performing Arts Center, Tanger's Outlet / Wal-MArt / Sam's Club centers. 15 minute drive from Downtown Charleston, 13 miles- College Of Charleston, 8 Miles - Charleston Southern University, 9 Miles - MUSC, less than 2 miles from Boeing.

Location, location, location: Previous guests have commented about the great location of the rental. It is convenient to just about anything you want to do or anywhere that you want to go in Charleston (less expensive than staying in the historic district and free parking), although you can get to the Historic District within a 10-15 minute drive. Popular destinations include Folly Beach, the Historic District, Daniel's Island, Patriot's point, Convention/Performing Arts Center, Air Force Base and Boeing, as well as the Airport. Also a convenient location for golfing, tennis or bicycle or horseback riding.

Vacation in Charleston

This was my first vacation rental. The cost was very affordable and there was plenty of room. Close to historic parts of Charleston and the outlets. We loved feeding the turtles. The beds were comfortable and TV's in each room if we needed some alone time. We had a great time! Thanks for letting us stay there!

At least it was clean, mostly.

Pros: common areas clean and passably decorated. The bed/bath configuration was just what we needed and the main reason we choose the unit.

Cons: Too many to list. The kitchen cabinets are truly awful and in disrepair. The cheapest of everything. Have to wash the dishes by hand bc the dishwasher is useless. The floor in the 1/2 bath was sinking and had many broken tiles. No sheets provided for the pullout sofa even though I specifically told owner that we needed the bed. Dryer was broken. Code for check in never sent. Process for locking door not provided but email states that some renters have left door unlocked. No towels when we arrived. We had to wait for delivery and they were cheap. Air mattress in unit and was needed, but there was no pump. AC on third floor not working properly. At the end of stay the renter is expected to do quite a bit of the cleanup even though paying a whopping cleaning fee. The site says dining seating for six but that is only if you count putting two people at the counter on stools. The deck has a delightful view but is so unkempt no one wants to sit there. The grill was so dirty it was not usable. That's not all, but it's enough.

Owner's Response: Passably decorated with brand new furniture just purchased in April from an upscale furniture store. Stainless steel dishwasher, oven and refrigerator just purchased last year. Granite counter tops also in April, the kitchen cabinets were painted at the same time a color meant to compliment the granite (I think its a 100% improvement from the way they looked previously, and no one complained about them). All guests are provided with my Property Manager's contact information if the pump was missing he only needed to place a call to find out were to locate it. The linen to the blow up mattress and pull out sofa are in the linen closet in the bedroom. My calendar has been jammed packed. Guests are asked to cleaned the grill after using it. Most guest asked to check in early and I cannot possibly ask my housekeeper to clean the house, the grill and permit guest to check in early. I will consider removing the grill. I have asked the housekeeper to make sure the deck is swept and cushions put away in inclement weather. I will reiterate this. The only truthful thing in this review is the that I do need to fix the tile in the downstairs bathroom. As soon as I have at least a 3 day opening this work will be completed as the handyman is already on standby and the supplies have been purchased. I put so much time, energy and money into keeping the unit nice for my guests that to have it picked apart is disheartening. But this is a guest who complained from the second they walked in the door, about the code to the free wireless internet and every little thing they could think of so go figure. btw - There are 4 bathrooms in this unit.

I felt the property was very nice. There are a couple things that need some slight maintenance. But overall the property was clean and a nice place to stay. If needed, we would stay there again. Good communication with the owner

Spacious Townhouse on the Water

Great deal for the price - my family of 5 was very comfortable here. The rooms were clean and the place seemed well-maintained. Compared to other VRBO rentals I have been in , they skimp on items like toilet paper, paper towels, etc, but the listing does tell you to bring your own toiletries and paper products. Would have given this property 4 stars except for an incident where all of our dishes were placed in the cabinets DIRTY. I'm not sure how someone could put plates with syrup, gravy, etc in the cabinets like that. All the silverware was dirty too. Coffee mugs still had dry coffee in them. Major health hazard. I notified the owner and instead of an apology, she stated she'd never heard of such a thing. I am not even sure if she is going to follow-up with her housekeeper.

Owner's Response: I am very sorry that this happened to my guest. I followed up with my housekeeper, she was fighting a cold at the time, and when she didn't find any dirty dishes in the sink or dishwasher she assumed the previously guest washed and put them away (which many guest do). We have been fortunate to have very clean and respectful guests and it never crossed her mind that any guest would put dirty dishes in the cabinets. Please accept my apology. Gretchen

Great view of the lake,Nature at the door with cranes,turtles,fish,etc.The location was perfect .

The townhouse is very nice and is what appeared on the home away site.We arrived early and we were allowed to check in early .It is located in the perfect spot for shopping ,restaurants ,and access to the expressway for travel to downtown or the islands.The mattresses,and bed linen needs updating ,the towels and other bathroom linen as well.There were somethings I was'nt pleased with .Such as the ceiling fans needed cleaning,batteries dead in the remote controls one television had to be turned on and off manually,all the televisions had to be reset due to the previous renter,and the grout and mold around the bathroom showers needs attention .To me it's details to the little things that matters.Details,details,details ,
