Breathtaking views, mountain fresh air, and tranquility in the highland town of Vershire, VT; the Fortress rests on the slopes of the Northern Kingdom and looks out over the White Mountains to the East during the day and the Milky Way above at night. The property spans 6 acres that are available to all guests looking for a bit of snow-shoeing or a walk in the woods.
The Fortress offers a functional and practical chance at living in a structural work of art. Designed and built by local architect, Nick Fabrikant, it offers splendid open floor plans and incredible natural lighting through the many South-facing windows. "The Great Hall" often reminds guests of a comic book villain's hideaway lair because of the enormity of the space. Detailing includes a 10 ft. long English Banquet table and an 80 lb brushed steel chandelier, not to mention countless other custom designed pieces of furniture.
Accommodations include a queen-size bed for two, a small kitchen that's perfect for making morning omlettes with fresh local Ingredients, and several comfy chairs from which to watch the rising and setting of the sun in your personal mountain hideout. While there is an air mattress available for additional guests by special request, we like to recommend the space for two guests at a time because of the open floor plans.
Perfect for a Vermont get-away so come stay in the land of Maple syrup, craft beer, and of course, Cabot cheese.
