Great location in residential Paris neighborhood
The apartment is conveniently located close to the metro, grocery stores and restaurants. It has a good-size kitchen, a dishwasher (detergent is provided), a washing machine (detergent provided), a drying rack and plenty of bath towels. A rollaway bed was provided at our request. The closet in the bedroom has plenty of shelving.
There were a few negatives: the bedroom window had no curtains or shutters (we had to hang a blanket on the window frame), no top sheets on the beds (only fitted sheets), only one roll of toilet paper was in the unit, and no instructions were provided on how to turn off the TV screen (we had to unplug it every night).
Thank you to the owners for renting out this wonderful apartment. Everything was just as it is in the advert. A great location right across from the metro and walkable to another line and bus line aThe only suggestion I would make is to add a fan or a couple of floor fans bedroom and living room for air circulation. It was unusually hot during our visit and a fan would have been ideal. All and all and excellent stay. Will for sure try to stay here if we visit again .
Very cozy and clean..
Good location...market and cafes close by...very good experience
Yes, if you want the Paris experience, this is the one! Across the street from the Metro, and everything from the funny little elevator to the creaky wooden stairs to the odd door key reminds you that you are in Paris. We were able to get in a bit early and were greeted by the friendly "femme de menage". The apartment was fine for two people and was quiet and clean. We couldn't get the tv to work (batteries out in the remote?) and there were a few light switches that didn't seem to connect with anything, but the wifi was good. We did think that the linens could be updated and perhaps a couple of wine glasses could be added but this is a good, basic accommodation. Thank you, Kader.
Low cost alternative in high cost city
We actually liked the neighborhood and used the metro to get around. However, since the apartment was dirty, lacked a few curtains in the one bedroom, and we had to have help in getting the TV hooked back up to the cable box, having to ask for more than one bath towel for two people etc., we were not impressed with the cleaners or management of the site. We did receive our damage deposit, which was a concern because one of the kitchen drawer facing panels came off when we opened it. Documented it with pictures. If the cleaning issues are resolved, I could recommend.
We enjoyed staying in the less touristy 11th arrondissement in a Haussmann apartment building with a metro stop right across the street and a small grocery store next door. We also found that the apartment was bigger than the places we've stayed before. It was nice to have room to spread out a bit. My only complaint was the lack of towels for the kitchen and bath. There was one kitchen towel, one bath sized towel, and two small towels (a little bigger than hand towels). There were two of us staying for 11 days. I sent the owner an email about having only one bath towel and did not get a response. Other than that small inconvenience, we liked the apartment and felt quite comfortable there.
Thank you for staying in my apartment. I did not receive your email concerning the towels. I am sorry for this. I bought 2 big towels and also 2 others for the kitchen.
Thanks for your comment. It helps me to make my apartment more comfortable.
Many restaurants nearby, including in the area Oberkamph. 1 Monoprix nearby bakery.
