Access to this apartment is by a separate private locked gate. This apartment was created for the proprietors to use when the main house is rented so it is finished and furnished to a high standard. This apartment has its feet in the water on the Paimpol Bay located on the small port of Pors Even, the port of Pierre Loti and "Les Pecheurs Icelandais". The port is bustling with year around interesting activities from fishing boats, boaters, oyster farmers and its fishponds. This apartment has view of the sea. It has all the comforts: Peace and Quiet, WIFI, French Television, electric heating. The living room is bright with sliding doors on to the terrace / courtyard and a window overlooking the sea.
The kitchen/living area includes 2 electric hobs, extractor hood, fridge, microwave / grill, toaster, electric kettle, Nesspreso coffee maker and everything needed to prepare meals. There is a table and 2 chairs (plus 2 extra). The living area has two chairs and footstools. The bedroom has a double bed (140), 2 bedside tables and lights and very generous storage for clothes.
The bathroom is provided with a large electric fan heater/towel radiator and hair dryer . There is a large walk in shower with towels and shampoo and soap provided. The vanity area features a large sink, a wall-to-wall mirror, an electric point and storage under. You have use of the communal washing machine and dryer (shared with the main house).
You have direct access from the sliding doors and the principal door to the wooden deck with a table and 4 chairs and a retractable awning. The courtyard is south facing and is a real sun trap with a very large established olive tree providing additional shade. There are reclining chairs available, also a communal Webber charcoal BBQ and a large Gas BBQ. ( The main house has it’s own private terrace and seating but they have communal use of the BBQs)
For hikers, the GR 34 is at your door. There are great walks along the coastal path (long and short) and possibilities to be dropped off OR picked up. Delivery of your luggage to your next destination is also possible. We can offer a secure lockup for your bikes.
The apartment is 5 Klms from the Embarkment to the Isle de Brehat famous for it’s beauty and charm. Historic Paimpol is a 4klm walk on the GR 34 . It is the principal town with it’s charming Port in the heart of the town Centre, it has a lively Tuesday Market and summer entertainments. The numerous restaurants serve the freshest seafood and fish and the traditional Gallettes and Crepes. The beautiful and rare Cote Granit Rose, a visit to Chateau Roche Jagu with it’s splendid gardens ( completely free) and it’s restored interior and delicious restaurant located in the gardens, the impressive ruins of the Abbey de Beaufort and a tour of the interior and impressive gardens and afternoon tea in their new Resturant, the unique Sillon de Talbert, the Sept Isles are all waiting for you. As for beaches! The closest is in front of the apartment with a second just 5 minutes gentle walk.
PLOUBAZLANEC is 2 Klms away with a choice of two bakery’s, a small supermarket, a tobac, bar/cafe, butcher, Post Office , Pharmacy, and two hairdressers, two restaurants and a farm with their own produce. 30 meters from the apartment is a Vivier with crabs, lobsters, muscles, clams and other delights. In the summer months we have a small Hotel Resturant and a Family Resturant serving their own muscles and oysters with french fries within a short walking distance.
This apartment is available for a long weekends (minimum 3 nights) or Weekly. See the calendar for availability. All bedding is furnished and the bed is made.
