Spacious house in quiet location

Our family group spent two nights in this house which was well suited to our needs. The beds were very comfortable, and the facilities mostly good. The caretaker who let us in put the heating on. It's a heat pump system so unfortunately the water took a long time to heat up, although after some hours the supply was hot and plentiful. It would have been nice to have had the boiler started up a little while before arrival, so that we didn't end up with a rather cool bath! The caretaker also demonstrated the gas hob, which seemed fine. So it was very surprising to find that we couldn't light it when we needed to cook a meal on our last night. We would have explored this with him when he returned to collect keys on the morning of our departure. But he was delayed, so we agreed to close up the house and leave the keys concealed in a safe place. The non-functioning hob remains a mystery. But in all other respects the house was fine, and good value. Note that we were not asked to pay a EUR900 deposit in cash.
