Relaxing holiday in the beautiful Dordogne countryside
The house was very clean and comfortable and we had a wonderful holiday. Jack and Rose were very patient with our inability to hold a proper conversation in French. It was heaven to have our own heated swimming pool surrounded by beautiful countryside.
We had a wonderful week at Le Tay. The property is lovely and the location is ideal, with many pretty Bastide towns and medieval villages within a 30 minute drive.
Bergerac airport is an easy 25minute drive. The heated pool is fabulous and so peaceful, being surrounded by countryside.
Jacque and Rose are lovely people and they are always happy to help if you need them, but they totally respect your privacy and you have the pool exclusively for your own use.
We will be returning to Le Tay next year.

It is a charming place, thoughtful and helpful owners close when needed but respectful of privacy
We have just spent a lovely week at the Tay. Although the weather was not overly brilliant we can honestly say the house did not disappoint. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely owners who had provided the bare essentials including a bottle of wine for our first evening.
The house itself is clean and tidy with all the home comforts required. The heated pool with it's brilliant cover were also immacultly presented and made it usable even when the weather was a little drab.
The house although a little remote was a brilliant base to explore the area. We ventured as far as Bordeaux and Sarlat which were both worth the journey as well as visiting Bergerac of which we were a little underwhelmed.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly although the interior stairs would be challenging to the very young or those with limited mobility. There are however straight stairs on the exterior of the property which are easier to manage.
We can not thank our hosts enough for their kindness and patience with my poor French!
