About Paul Challis
We purchased the property in 2014. We have 4 children and we are all keen skiers and have visited many ski areas in the last 10 years in Switzerland, France and Italy. We visited Le Grand Bornand for the first time in 2014 and fell in love with the traditional French village and the great skiing. We live in the south of England and travel to Le Grand Bornand either by car or via Geneva airport.

Why Paul Challis chose Le Grand-Bornand
We chose to buy this property as it was a great size for a family of six and also had room for any additional friends that we or the children wanted to invite. We had previously stayed in many expensive small apartments with sofa beds or bunk beds but in Apartment Snow Fall there is plenty of room and everybody gets their own proper bed. The skiing is great for all the family and there are a number great family restaurants to visit apres ski. Le Grand Bornand is also only 1 hours drive from Geneva airport and also is one of the nearest ski resorts to northern France.
What makes this Apartment unique
It has fantastic views from the balcony across to the mountains and down towards the village and it is only a short walk to the village centre or the ski lifts. If you want to get the ski bus it stops regularly just outside the apartment block.

Outstanding base for exploring Le Grand-Bornand and surrounding area
Five of us (my wife and I, another couple and a friend) stayed for five days in preparation for cycling the Étape du Tour. The apartment was perfect for us and exactly as described. Incredible views from the private balcony. All essentials for cooking were provided. Two fridges were an extra bonus. The owner, Paul Challis, was very helpful and accommodating (we needed to depart on a Monday). Before we arrived, Paul sent us a set of keys and a detailed description of the apartment with instructions for everything (including TV and WiFi). Highly recommended!
The apartment and resort lived up to the description
Everything was exactly as expected even the walk up the hill to the apartment was fairly described. Would happily book again for another skiing holiday. Paul, the owner, could not have been more helpful.
Great family skiing
3rd time I've been now, this time with my son and two friends, and we had a great time again. As it was just the 4 of us we obviously had plenty of space in the apartment. We even cocked a few evenings and found everything we needed in the kitchen and there was plenty of wood for the fireplace. A small issue with the toilet flush was fixed immediately after getting in touch with the owner and athough there was limited fresh snow the sunshine made up for it. We all had a great skiing experience and would definitely come again.
Great property , perfectly situated for a ski trip
The property is very well maintained and equipped. Perfect for a group / family ski trip. Amazing views from the balcony . It's well located / connected to the village of Grand Bornard and the ski areas - will be back !
Great apartment with plenty to do!
Situated in a lovely area, this apartment includes a spacious modern open plan kitchen and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable. There are wonderful views from the balcony and the weather was hot (30 degrees) all week. The village offers a range of activities, including archery, paragliding, swimming and parcours as well as a good selection of bars and restaurants. Close by is the city of Annecy with its beautiful lake which is definitely worth a visit.
Great skiing resort for all levels
The property is in a great location (ski bus stop just outside), excellent views on the sorounding mountains, very spacious and offered all we needed to feel home from home. I stayed with a few friends, all at different skiing levels, and we couldn't have picked a better resort. Great, well prepared slopes for all skiing levels (during the 4 days we skied we rarely used the same slopes) and the weather was superb. I'd definitely take the family there as well. The town offers several good restaurants and is in short walking distance from the property. Can't wait to go again next year.
