This beautiful colorfully decorated house is named 'Making Memories' because our wish is it will give everyone HAPPY memories! It is in the lovely community of Grove by the Sea at 26 Cullman Ave. in Seagrove Beach. It is less that a mile from Seaside with all its shops and attractions without the higher rental prices. Located right off of 30A west of Panama City, you'll have close walking access (about .4 mile) to the sugar-white sandy beaches, emerald green water, and unbelievable sunsets. Nearby are two great community pools, a tennis court with a basketball hoop (which you can see from the upper deck), and a playground for the kids. The bike trail runs all along 30A and gives you miles of level, easy riding adventures. We provide several bikes for guests. A 10% discount by a local bike rental company is also available to our guests. There are many great state parks nearby, like Eden State Park (3.5 mi).
Our house is newly painted in a light teal blue on the exterior and the interior is decorated with touches of bright, happy colors, including original whimsical paintings by our daughter and popular artist, Tricia Robinson. A plus is the handicapped ramp which makes easy access for wheelchairs (and strollers). (Please contact owner for more details about handicapped accessability.) All four bedrooms and the living area downstairs have flat screen TVs with the TV network providing lots of choices.
The main floor features a large wrap-around screened-in porch with plenty of rockers, a porch swing, and a bench sofa in a nice sitting area plus a table for outside dining. 'Sparkle lights' go around the porch to add an extra touch at night. The house has wireless Internet connection for all of us laptop lovers. The inside is open with a spacious, fully-furnished kitchen, dining area, and living room. The dining table seats 8-10 plus 3 more at the bar. A full bath and a laundry area with iron and ironing board and the large washer and dryer are off the hall. The cheery first floor bedroom has twin beds and French doors to the screened porch. In the closet are two umbrella strollers, two children's booster seats for using at the dining table, a child's gate for the stairs, a portable child's bed rail, and a small stool for young children to use at the sink in the bathroom.
On the 2nd floor you'll find two roomy and colorful bedrooms with queen beds, a single roll-away bed for extra sleeping, your own bathrooms, TV, DVD, and doors out to the porch with its bistro table and chairs for enjoying a cup of coffee, plus a comfy bench sofa, rocker, and porch swing for just relaxing. You can take a soothing bath in the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom.
Go up the stairs to the 'tower room" and find a great area for the kids or a get-away for adults with TV and DVD player and a wet bar boasting a sink and fridge. Each end of that room has balconies overlooking the lovely homes and streets of the community. You can get a breath-taking view of the starry night-time skies. There is sleeping for 4 with two sets of bunk beds. There is also a table and chairs for games, writing, and more.
Outside the house you'll find a secluded shady yard with the sweet scent of magnolia trees. The outside shower is a convenient way to wash away the sand. There are water toys for the pool or beach and four beach chairs and some beach umbrellas plus a handy wagon to carry chairs, kids, and more to the beach. A gas grill is also available. The nearest pool is only a half block away.
THERE IS PARKING FOR 3 VEHICLES. SMOKING AND PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. THE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION PROHIBITS PARKING TRAILERS OR BOATS IN THE DRIVEWAYS.
