About this property

House set in a dream 5-hectare garden with footpaths and a small river.

Welcome to the Domaine de Kerusten!

At only 30 minutes from the sea, in the heart of a luxuriant Breton nature, we propose you a halt in a haven of peace which extends on more than 5 hectares. You can walk there to discover a preserved nature. A garden of 9. 000 M2 occupies the back of a stone farmhouse and its well. It is a flower garden, but also an arboretum, with winding alleys, planted with old roses, including a collection of Lemoine, peonies, lilies, asters and other shrubby flowers. For lovers of roses, the period from May to June is particularly suitable to discover the spectacle of rose creepers, shrubs, or climbing, aged for some over 30 years!

As for the floral shrubs, each season reveals its colors thanks to rhododendrons (spectacular King George), Hydrangeas, Viburnum, Hazelnut of Japan, etc. We have very beautiful specimens of Magnolias including Magnolias Grandiflora which is the only one of the species to bloom in summer, without forgetting our botanical camellias that bloom in winter. You will also be able to observe more than 80 species of rare trees (ARBORETUM), even remarkable, including evergreen oaks, maple trees (with cinnamon maple with paper bark), lilacs, a tulip tree of Virginia, alders , as well as trees from Asia and the Americas such as the Sichuan Fir Tree, the spectacular Tissue Tree, the Sechuan Pepper Tree, Eucalyptus, Camphor Tree, Chilean Myrtle, etc ...)
The whole garden is bordered by an embankment planted with remarkable oaks and centuries-old beeches. You can continue your walk to the path that leads to the brook, through an old fountain where daffodils bloom in the spring. The path crosses a sloping meadow where the large eagle ferns, wild pear trees and zone 9 plants that need a protected area cohabitate. We then arrive at the bottom of the property to the wet meadow bordered by the river / stream (Kerusten), where grow angelic, cirses and wild irises. The two little woods that surround it, the old banks, the ancient trees, plunge the visitor into another century.

Looking for a stay to spend moments of tranquility in contact with nature?
Do you like an original vacation, quiet without being far from everything, only 30 'from the sea?
Do you like flowers, trees, gardens?
