About this property

The 37 m2 suite is at the bottom of a contemporary house, with a clear view of the Alps and the windmill of St Michel.

The house is part of a small subdivision of 7 houses with private access to the edge of the village of St Michel l'Observatoire in the Luberon park. It was built as a bioclimatic house, that is to say designed to take advantage of the natural characteristics of the site.

It has independent parking, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, a bedroom (two people) and a sofa bed in the living room (two people). The 12m x 3m swimming pool is exclusively reserved for holidaymakers.

The village of St Michel has a restaurant, a pizzeria, a grocery store, a butcher, a bakery, an artisanal ice cream shop and a tobacco bar. If you prefer not to use the car, you have everything you need to eat well.

There is also a tourist office, an astronomy center, the Observatoire de Haute Provence, and the windmill which can be visited during the summer. For hikers there are trails allowing you to find the beautiful landscape around the village and further. There are also trails for mountain bikers.

Forcalquier, with its Provencal market, entertainment, two supermarkets and a tourist office, is 10 minutes by car. Also, the village of Mane, with the priory and gardens of Salagon, and the town of Manosque, are nearby. The mountain of Lure is 40 minutes by car (a little more if you prefer cycling), as well as the magnificent gorges of Verdon.

Gite trés bien placé avec vue exceptionnelle

Nous avons passé une semaine chez Theresa et son époux. 2 personnes très charmantes. Le gite est idealement placé pour visiter la région. Les 2 points majeurs: cette vue exceptionnelle et l accès au village à pied : idéal pour vivre l ambiance du village et rencontrer ses habitants. Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur gentillesse.

séjour enchanteur et trop court! :)

Nous venons de passer une merveilleuse semaine dans le gîte de Theresa et Christopher qui ont fait de leur maison bioclimatique un petit paradis. La vue est exceptionnelle, le petit village de St Michel est peu étendu mais tout le nécessaire est à proximité, avec un excellent restaurant, une boulangerie, une petite épicerie, un bar tabac.... Nos hôtes sont très prévenants et d'une totale discrétion, ils sont le reflet de leur maison qui invite à la détente; nous sommes partis avec regret mais en pensant déjà revenir!! Un grand merci à Theresa et Christopher pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse. C'est l'un des plus beaux séjours que nous ayons passé. A bientôt, nous l'espérons! Carole et Tony.

Un lieu superbe

Nous avons été sur un petit nuage de bien être pendant tout notre séjour ! L’appartement est parfait, l’emplacement et la vue sont magnifiques et la piscine est merveilleuse. Nous avons bien profité du coin, les marchés, les visites…avant chaque après-midi de lézarder au soleil au bord de la piscine en ayant l’impression d’être seules au monde tant tout est calme et paisible. Nos hôtes étaient discrets et très agréables. Encore merci à eux de partager leur petit paradis !
