Oceanfront at Sugar Beach

Life is sweet on Sugar Beach. Our oceanfront condo is fewer than 100 steps to a world-class beach that stretches for 10 miles. The smooth sand, gentle waves, and warm water create the ideal swimming experience. And when you are ready to come in, you can relax on our private beachfront lawn with your own lounge chair, table, and umbrella. Or maybe you prefer the pool? It’s perfectly maintained and private. Our one-bedroom, two-bathroom, fifth floor condo is recently remodeled and includes everything you need to fully unwind into Maui time. We love drinking our morning coffee on the balcony, looking out at the ocean and listening to the birds. The Nani Hai Kale includes free parking and excellent security – private entrance to parking and beach.

You may find it hard to leave our little slice of paradise, but we are very close to more beaches, scenic areas, shopping, and great food. Three minute walk to the bakery, ABC store, a small market (with a world-class poke selection) and a popular shave ice shop! Bus stop is three minutes away, 30 min drive to Lahaina, 15 min to Wailea, and 15 min to Kahului (airport, Costco, Target and Walmart).

Nice, simple, clean, functional and well-stocked condo!
Having two showers was really nice for when you come back from the beach or pool. The closet had all the beach chairs, coolers etc you need. Plus, more things like sand toys are stored out in the garden. You can walk to the best bakery and shave ice on the island! The caretaker of the condo building was really on top of things and very nice. In the condo, the furnishings are older, but everything worked fine. Mike was very easy to communicate with. Would stay there again.

Mike Jones hails from Portland Oregon and has recently wrapped up a 30 year career in the music industry, creating and building a number of companies and overseeing their operation and success. Inspired by his early years playing in all sorts of bands, he chose to take the questionable path of following his passions. Fortunately, it all worked out. He has twin sons, Max and Sam, both grown and living in the Pacific Northwest.

Why they chose this property

It’s been Mike’s long-time goal to own a place on Maui since his first trip to the island in 2003, as part of an ohana living up in Kula. The stars finally aligned, and he fell hard for the Nona Kai Hale: both the building and location. Having spent little time at his new condo thus far, he’s anticipating getting to know neighbors and be more involved as he spends more and more time on-island.
