You’ll be located just a short 15.5 mile-drive from historic downtown Savannah, which offers a variety of dining and shopping venues. Cute, BUT......

The home is cute and worked well for our family of 5 adults and an infant. We liked the quiet location. However, there were a couple of issues...The disposal side of the sink is not usable. It leaks and doesn't appear to even be connected. Same goes for the dishwasher. I did not make a maintenance call due to the fact that we did very little cooking, as we were busy with a family wedding all weekend. We hand washed what little dishes we did use. So, the sink wasn't too big of an issue for us, but very well may be for other guest. We had a problem with the volume on the main TV...It went out twice and was solved by turning the power off and restarting. Lastly, the kitchen cabinets need to be decluttered. There is WAY too many personal items in the lower cabinets...to the point that there is NO usable space for guest. Lastly, the closets are locked and also not usable. On a positive note, the house was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. We would rent again but a few adjustments need to be made.

Convenient location, horrible beds

Location was good, walked to some GREAT restaurants. Nice porches to relax on, the views, a tennis court in front and houses in the back. We have stayed in a lot of homes for vacations and this house has a nice layout and plenty of space but the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Certainly by far the worse ones of all. The bedroom blinds are to short for the windows, so that was awkward. Several of the blinds in the house did not work. Not a single closet was available for guest. There was only one small shelf with a bar to possibly hang clothes had there been hangars available. The management company was very responsive and did offer to bring hangars. The beach towels were very thin, so expect to bring your own. What looked like a nice covered area below the house was so filthy we could not use it. And the outdoor shower, only good to rinse off after a day at the beach. It is not enclosed and private. There were also no laundry pods, generally there are a few for guest to use when a washer and dryer are available. The house could use a deep cleaning, fan blades, vents, but general cleaning was fine. If the owner would invest in good beds and pillows and had privacy blinds that actually fit and worked this review would have been completely different.

Horrible

I really don’t know where to start. Well, first and most importantly. We walked into the house and it was 78 inside this beach house. So we turned it down and left to get some groceries. My husband said it will go down. We come back an hour and half later and it went up to 80 INSIDE this house. So I call Vacasa the rental company. They said they are sending someone out. 3 hours later and 4 different people I spoke to and no one came to fix it. Then I call to get move to a different house. I was on the phone with them until 1a.m. They only had words like unfortunately, hopefully,well. They did nothing. We had to fight for our refund back. I mean all of it. They ruined our vacation. They couldn’t get a property manager to do anything or help us. Bottom line, don’t rent this place. On top of that. The blinds in bedroom don’t go all the way down. So the neighbors can see into rooms. The kids room smelled like paint. There was no toilet paper. There is people belongings all throughout the house. Oh this one is great and so safe. They had a chair under the front door door knob. Keeping from anyone coming in. This house needs to be taking off here. Also, make sure you’re dealing with a person who is renting out the home not a terrible rental company.

Great Little Beach House

We rented this beach house over Memorial Day Weekend, when Tybee Island was experiencing hurricane like weather. So although we didn't get out at all, the house was large enough for myself, husband, stepson and 2yo granddaughter. There were things I loved about our stay...First, enough supplies (trash bags, paper towels, TP etc. to cover a 3-4 day stay....Second, plenty of bath towels, washcloths and beach sized towels. I've stayed in a great number of VrBOs and I usually bring my own towels b/c so many leave just enough for each occupant to have 1. So I was quite pleased there were ample...especially with a 2yo. Third, the check out process is by far the easiest of anywhere I have ever stayed...we literally didn't have to do anything except start the dishwasher, bag the trash and leave it in the house...I did however remove all of the sheets towels and stack them in the main room. The only reason for 4 stars is b/c I do find with homes managed by large management companies tend to over look things I find to be important...such as working lightbulbs in the lamps. We did have two lamps wo bulbs and none to be found in the house. For some reason, lightbulbs tend to be a pet peeve of mine...I guess I've stayed in so many VrBOs w/o working lightbulbs I'm sick of buying them! Other than my small irritations this is a great place, with ample room, nice out door areas and adequate parking...I would definitely stay again if I head back to Tybee.
