About this property

This updated property has everything needed for families big and small. Two seating areas in the fully gated backyard as well as a floating dock. Catch and cut your fish right outside at the fish sink and shower off with the outdoor shower.

JUST ADDED, 2 large cockpit kayaks and a paddle board! Take one or all 3 out to the channel and watch the dolphins play in the low tide with a beautiful sunset as your backdrop.

You’ll find in the garage a splashpad that can be hooked up to the hose for some cooling off as well as some yard toys and beach gear for your outings.

The front stoop is perfect for catching our 'one of a kind' sunsets that Hudson is known for.

The decor is a very unique collection of antique, vintage and thrift finds I've collected from California to Florida and everywhere in between.

The weather is superb with a gentle breeze blowing in and out of the open and spacious floor plan. When the humidity gets a little much enjoy the central air inside while looking out the windows to the canal.

Short Fishing Trip

The house was very nice inside and set up well. Enjoyed the sitting area by the canal. We had a great time and will book again if available.

Perfect Location, Great Host!

We booked Helena’s house a year before we stayed. Right from the beginning she was available and helpful. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The outside sitting area was a nice place to sit and relax after a busy day. The area is very quiet and safe. We would give the area a score of 10 for walkability. You could walk to 5 restaurants, an ice cream parlor, a small store, and even the local beach. There are also lots of places to check out by car that are well worth it. Our favorites were all the state parks and beaches, Homosassa and Monkey Island, Tarpon Springs, and Honeymoon Island’s beautiful beaches just to name a few. We stayed a month and made many day trips, but we were completely happy to just stay at the house and sit by the canal. When we return to Hudson we will definitely stay at Helena’s house.

Location, location!

This house is located so close to all activities you may want to experience. We are golfers and my husband also does fishing. There are 5 different golf courses in this area, so fun! My husband did some charter fishing with Captain Mike who lives just one block from the house! It’s perfect for a variety of dining places, outdoor beach restaurants. Tarpon Springs, Crystal River, Clearwater were some activities we did. All so convenient to drive to. The kitchen and huge dining table provided the opportunity to make many meals as we stayed for 30 days. You have a gas and charcoal grill! Your choice! The lanai was a must have. So nice to open those doors and get the extension to the living area and fresh air. Most important, the beds were so comfortable and for a long stay, we were grateful. Thank you Helena! Yes, you have a very responsive host should you have questions. 😃

Pleasant stay on the canal

We enjoyed the house on the canal. It's in a very quiet neighborhood. The screened in patio was very pleasant to sit and listen to the birds with coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The house, kitchen, seating area, and bedrooms had everything that we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay.

I stumbled on this throw back sleepy Sea Ranch town in Hudson and fell in love. Ten days later I was under contract of this cute and quaint little beach house on a quiet canal. Perfect place to watch the fish jump, see the birds soar and even catch an occasional dolphin swim by.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is like a Mayberry town, everyone waves and stops to chat if you've got the time. A great walk-a-bout area with plenty of pause and reflect spots along the main road. Also, many eateries, including an old fashioned ice cream parlor without ever having to go on the main highway. Hudson is THE best spot for sunsets and lightening shows. We even have our resident eagle, I spied him flying with a fish in his mouth just this Easter!

What makes this property unique

Your own personal floating dock to sunbath or fish on and take a quick plunge. Bait sink and outdoor shower just inside the fenced in hard. You'll even find bananas growing in the trees, great for banana bread! The front stoop is perfect for sunset gazing. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen, both charcoal and propane BBQ's in the backyard. There are many little touches to make your stay most enjoyable. It's filled with many finds I've picked up in my travels to give a one-of-a-kind decor.
