A Peaceful Villa Near Pisa
This was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Italy's big cities. A great place as a base for touring NW Italy - Pisa, Cinque Terre, Portovenere and San Gimignano. Cinzia greeted us upon our arrival and showed us the accommodations. She left us a nice bottle of wine and homemade jam - a nice treat! Our group of four enjoyed the peace and tranquility, and comfortable lodging. We would definitely stay here again as well as recommend this VRBO to all.
Thank you very much for yours words....
It will be a pleasure for me to welcome you again!
great place to stay!
Thank you Cinzia and Federico for staying in your house! We loved being there. Say hello to your mum and dad. They were very kind and helpfull.
It was a pleasure to host you and your beautiful wife !
I really enjoyed staying here. It's out in the country. There are two bedrooms, and two bathrooms both are nice. One has a tub, one has a shower. The owners live next door and are really wonderful and friendly. Check in and out was very easy. I asked a lot of questions and they were so nice and answered them all. It's about an hour from Florence and it's kind of a hassle but it's very easy for Pisa, Volterra, San Gimginiano, and the ocean. It's very clean. There is a beautiful view of Monte Pisano and a vineyard. The garden has a beautiful patio with olive greens and fruit trees and vines.
Some things I learned for future travelers:
- The trash all gets separated into different bags. Where I live in America we just throw it all into one bag and it gets separated later. Stay on top of the trash, each day you put a different kind out. I didnt do that and ended up with a bunch of trash and didnt know what to do with it.
- If you're driving in from the north side of town, it's the first left after the first speed bump. We accidentally turned into the wrong driveway. The number "12A" is on the wall of the one you want.
- The laundromat is out the front of the driveway and you turn left. You go past the church and keep going left once you get to the next road. The laundromat is on the right past the little shop with the sign "Alimentari". You put in 4 euro coins or a note into the change machine and you get a token, and you use that token in the washing machine or the dryer. I kept dumping euro coins into the washing machine wondering why they were falling out. The machines in the laundry are really really good.
- You can take the bus to Pisa, its so easy. I was a little scared at first. Walk left again from the driveway and across from the church on the right side of the road there is a sign that says "CPT Fermata" and you hand the driver 2 euros exact change and he'll give you a ticket. You get to Pisa so fast. It's the blue "Campo Chiesa" bus when you want to go back.
Very clean, well appointed and well situated for the airport, Pisa, Lucca, Florence etc.
Ideal spot for visiting the local sites. The owners were very friendly and gave us a few tips re shops, sites and restaurants.
Everything was in good order, well maintained and ensured we had a very enjoyable stay.
Thank you very much for your nice reception
I will enjoed to host you or your friends another time
We have staying in self catering accommodation in Western Europe for some twenty years a this is undoubtedly amongst the best.
The farmstead is located near Pisa, but immersed in the campaign between vineyards and olive trees under the Monti Pisani and close to the Certosa di Calci.
