About Dr Scott Griffith

I am a native of the city and I love this city. I own a veterinary practice in the city and have practiced here since 1982.

Dr Scott Griffith purchased this house in 2004

Why Dr Scott Griffith chose Central City/Garden District

Its a perfect location to experience this grand city in this turn of the century home that gives you the feel that you are living the decadent lifestyle of that era.

What makes this house unique

Its my home, not an apartment or a condo. It's in a quiet neighborhood, close to the serene shaded shopping corridor of renown Magazine St or a streetcar ride to the Fench Quarter. (I also have a place in the Quarter where I work so when my uptown home is rented I have the pleasure to experience heart of the city on a daily basis.)

Wonderful place, perfect weekend

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with two other couples in March of 2010. It's a beautiful home and a great location, easy walking to some of our favorite NO restaurants (Dick and Jenny's, Casamento's, Petit Grocery, Lilette) and watering holes (The Columns, Tipitina's). If you've only ever seen the Quarter, this neighborhood will show you the real New Orleans you've been missing, and the house is fantastic. We hope to go again as soon as we can swing it! The owner was completely helpful and responsive.

Great property

The location of this house was great. It was easy to get around and also quiet from the crazy fun of the Quarter. We would defiantly recommend this place to anyone going to NOLA for a get away. Scot was easy to communicate with and always responded to my question with in a couple days or less.

Cousins Weekend

My family and I (six total) stayed a Friday through Monday morning mid October. We fell in love with the place. The property is bigger inside than the outside pictures let on. Even the inside pictures didn't do the place justice. The home was clean and very roomy, the upstairs consisted of the master bedroom, master bathroom, that included two balconies with seating areas. It had a very nice stairway a beautiful kitchen, and lovely pieces of art decorated the walls. The location was perfect for us, we were 30 minutes from the airport, 10-15 minutes from Bourbon Street, and walking distance from several unique shops and restaurants. Scott responded to any and all questions quickly. My family and I would absolutely stay in this location again.

My family and my in laws came to New Orleans on vacation and we didn't want to be split up by hotel rooms so we looked into renting a house. I was very skeptical at first being the part of this trip with a teenager I knew we needed enough space to relax. This house was perfect everyone got their own room own space but there was also a great area to get together and all hangout. We couldn't have asked for more and I would definitely come back.

Great Experience

This is a great place to get the total Uptown experience of New Orleans. Location to shops, restaurants, transportation, entertainment and grocery stores is excellent. Scott was very accommodating and flexible which is a plus. The house itself has all of the modern conveniences and comforts. I have already recommended it to some friends. It truly made our family's experience in the "BIG Easy" memorable.

We gathered here with family (3 couples) for a festival and couldn't have been happier with the house and the location! We were in walking distance of great restaurants and shops as well as the trolley to get to the French quarter. The off street parking was super convenient and the street was quiet at night. The owner, Scott, has been very responsive and easy to work with. We would highly recommend staying here.
