About Marion Curry
We live in Rutland, about as far from the sea as you could possibly be, but we have never lost the dream of having a home where we could walk the dogs along the sand every morning. When our daughter started teaching on the island, we knew this was where we could have such a home and we love it.
Marion Curry purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Marion Curry chose Bembridge
Drayton cottage allows you to relax as soon as you get there. By being able to leave the car in the drive and start walking or cycling everywhere you notice all the small details of the countryside you are blinded to by the speed of driving.
What makes this Cottage unique
The garden is such a private little sun trap, we often spend days just walking along the coast and returning home to read in the garden, getting active only when it's bbq time!

Centre of village
Clean beautifully decorated property in centre of lovely village. Good local produce shops, cafes and gift shops. Can walk to a beach in 10 minutes. Easy access by car to rest of the Island.
Enjoyed the quirky house. The double bed (small)very comfortable mattress. Good linen. The kitchen is small but functional. Equipment limited if cooking for a family.
Pleasant garden with bbq and seating.
Highchair and fitting for stairgate although didn’t actually see a gate.Dog well catered for.
I didn’t ask for the address until the last minute. I should have asked for a contact number as I found I couldn’t open the key safe but the owner was very responsive to messages.
Thanks for your review. I’m very pleased you enjoyed your stay in lovely Bembridge. (The stairgate is kept in the understairs cupboard, when not needed).
Excellent stay!
A fantastic property in a fantastic location. We all really enjoyed our holiday in Bembridge and this truly is a dog friendly cottage
Thank you. I’m very pleased you enjoyed staying at the cottage and you all, including your dog, had a great holiday.
Lovely Cottage
Very cosy and well equipped cottage, right in the heart of beautiful Bembridge village. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has been made to ensure that guests have everything that they might need for the duration of their stay. We were really grateful to have a travel cot and baby bath for our 3 month old daughter.
There are lots of independent cafes and shops (and a lovely village pub) all within a couple of minutes stroll from the cottage.
We can’t wait to come back next summer!
Thank you, like us you are clearly a Bembridge fan. You are very welcome to come back anytime.

Wonderful, clean, homely and great communication
We had a wonderful weekend stay. Everything we needed was available and any questions Marion was very quick to respond to. It's a lovely, very clean, cosy home and we really enjoyed ourselves and would love to visit again. Bembridge has some wonderful shops and we really enjoyed the beach too
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are very pleased to hear that you loved Bembridge and the cottage. You are very welcome to come back
Map
It's a dogs life, here on the island where dogs are allowed on the beaches at Bembridge, St Helens, Seagrove and Spring Vale Ryde, and have restricted access to over 20 more.
Do make time to visit the farmers market on a friday morning in Newport - super gluten free baking is available.
If you enjoy a rummage visit the flea market/car boot on The Green at St Helen's on a Sunday morning. Walkable from Bembridge, but go early to catch a bargain.
