Rustic Living on the Big Island
Our stay at the small rustic farmhouse was peaceful and very pleasant. There is an ocean view from the back deck and even colored clouds and rainbows. We met some goats that lived next door and some neighbors walking their horses up the road. The songs of the birds, frogs and roosters was a delight during the evening and daytime. We bought some fresh eggs from the hosts that was so convenient and yummy. The bed is so comfy, and the location is a great central point to start from for adventuring nearby sites in either direction. It is a very basic living arrangement, no frills, but very clean and serene and a great place to experience.

Loved this little cottage
We were very comfortable during our stay. Its so peaceful around here, and the cottage is very cute and well-equipt. We didnt feel like we were missing anything. On balcony you have an amazing view of the ocean during the day, and if the sky is clear at night, a killer view of the stars!

Lovely hill-side retreat
We had a wonderful stay in our little rustic cabin among the tree frogs and geikos. We made it a point to wake up for sunrises and watch the stars at night, both from the deck off from our cottage. We highly recommend sitting in the outdoor couch area and enjoying a wonderfully cooked meal from the host as well. Location was great and close to the general store. Sidra and Chris were wonderful hosts.

Deceiving
Our overall experience was very poor. The description of the property was misleading. The pictures definitely misleading. Such as saying it is beach front property, no about a mile away is the ocean so ocean view more accurate. I wanted beach front property we would not have stayed there because that was what we were looking for. Also saying you can walk to a waterfall, not exactly the truth we asked the locals and they told us where it is and very difficult to navigate and beware of fire ants. The property list that there is a washer and dryer nope you have to go to another place on the property where the washer and dryer is and pay $15.00. Money is not the problem just misleading. There is a cleaning fee added to the final price which is not a problem until we get check out instructions that we have to make sure all dishes are washed and coffee pot cleaned if used. Why have a cleaning fee if we have to clean? The property is a cabin that needs repairs. Absolutely NOT recommend.

Peaceful Retreat on Hamakua Coast
Relaxing stay in "tiny house" on the farm. My wife and I loved the rustic setting and being able to roam the farm and say good morning to Mama Cow and Baby Moo, along with the Chicken Kingdom. This unit has its own bathroom with shower, along with a kitchenette with everything we needed. Comfy bed after nighttime trip to watch Pele play in Kilauea. Papa'aloa General Store just down the hill for live music, dinner, plate lunch, and breakfast take away. We loved the Chill Shack with Sidra's artwork. Lots of positive energy and peaceful vibes!

What makes this property unique

THE FARM

We welcome all plant, nature, Art & spirituality enthusiasts on our farm and share our dream & knowledge with them. Our farm is only 4 years old but with our hard work and commitment we have achieved a lot and already producing a lot food on this farm.

We use our vegetable garden to grow Eggplants, Tomatoes, Edible & Medicinal Herbs, Greens, perennial spinach, Sweet potatoes, Taro. Also have Kobocha pumpkin patches spread around the farm.

We have multiple mature fruit trees like Banana, Avocados, Pineapples, Lychee, Longon, Tangerines, lemons, Calamansi, Guavas, Lilikoi (Passionfruit), Dragon Fruit, Jackfruit, Star Fruit, Soursop (2022 first fruiting season), Papayas, Coconuts, Malabar chestnut, Bilimbi, Surinam Cherry & Coffee.

We have also planted more tropical grafted trees that are already 2 to 3 years old. Some of these trees include Mango, avocado, more citrus & cacao.

We practice various permaculture practices on the farm and hope to fulfill our dream of becoming self-sufficient & provide affordable/free food to our community. Our animal manure & organic waste goes to feed our trees. We rely on rainwater catchment and our grey water is diverted to water our plants. Our chickens are free ranging mostly fed from food scraps from the farm.

Our Art Cafe is a cool rustic hangout spot constructed from recycled sustainable materials & provides space to get your creative juices flowing. We provide paints, canvas & various other supplies.

Make yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate and hangout at our deck for stargazing at night. The milky way galaxy is fully visible in our sky due to very little light pollution. You will most likely see and wish upon a shooting star! If you're visiting in August, the Perseid meteor shower will take your breath away.

There is also a private access to some secluded waterfalls from the property. You can get adventurous and hike down and spend the day exploring and swimming in waterfalls.
