Hello from Harv & Annette! We have been together for 43 years. We met in college in Springfield Illinois, where we still live. Annette grew up in Peoria IL. Harv grew up in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn NY.
Annette has been a biology teacher and a master gardener. She is quite involved in the Illinois Native Plant Society, the Springfield Civic Garden Club and has done horticulture for local clients. Her knowledge of insects, animals and plants is quite impressive!

Harv owns Avrom Systems, a computer company which has taken care of the IT needs of small businesses for over 35 years. Over the years he has been a Scoutmaster, worked to organize many camporees for our local Boy Scout council, and headed up a high school aged co-ed Venture Crew. He is a bicyclist, currently on the board of the Springfield Bicycle Club where he has coordinated the Annual Capital City Century Ride, and he is the vice president of Sustainable Springfield, a local group helping our local community move in a more sustainable direction.

We have stayed in rentals in the past, and always thought it would be great to show other groups and families the same hospitality as hosts we've received as guests!

Our son and daughter-in-law moved to Flagstaff and gave us two grandchildren. When the house behind theirs came up for sale we knew we had to purchase it!

Parker House has been completely renovated to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. Because we stay here ourselves every few months, it has all the utensils and comforts of home!

All new appliances, guest computer, chromecast HDTV with 200 cable TV channels, and house music system help make your stay an enjoyable one. The attractive kitchen has been completely renovated with the rest of the house. The large living room sofa with ponderosa pine view and family room with cozy fireplace and convertible sofa bed rounds out this cozy home away from home.

This ranch style home offers three bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, living room and family room all on one level. The master pillowtop queen guest queen and 2 twin beds are brand new. The convertible sofa opens up to a third queen bed, and the living room couch offers yet another sleeping surface. We have thought of everything to create the perfect environment for a romantic getaway, family vacation or group meeting for a ski, hiking or float trip. Complementary coffee awaits those who arrive late and need some morning java to get them going!
