Steep stairs with no safe railing since one side is unsteady and other side I got a splinter from worn wood just to enter apartment. I was worried every time our 10 & 12 year old went down the stairs. Outside patio to enter apartment was dusty and walked into spiderwebs. The alley behind apartment was very dark and very tight parking. Queen mattress was very uncomfortable with a slope so that u rolled to the middle. My sons sheets smelled like a skunk and we had to contact owner to get new ones thankfully he did respond quickly and corrected it. Wish it had a dishwasher because we didn’t know who had previously cleaned dishes and we opted not to use any dishes.
The Manitou Loft Apartment we stayed at was phenomenal! It was clean, super comfy, safe, and walking distance to everything. We also had a balcony with a beautiful view, a great way to unwind. The owner, Jeff was truly helpful, he was kind, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this beautiful Gem. I hope to be returned soon.
We were sold from the moment we saw the photo of the idyllic third floor balcony overlooking Manitou’s main street. And it lived up to the hype! Coffee shops, brewery and ice cream all within walking distance. The perfect mid-point between Garden of the Gods, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak and Fort Carson. Our three kids (11, 8, 6) slept on the trundle bed in one room (though we could have put the air mattress in the living room for them, too). My husband and I loved the memory foam mattress after a long day of hiking. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Lots of potential, but a few inconveniences
Property is in a great location, however had a few issues. Queen mattress was very uncomfortable (big dip in middle of bed), parking was also difficult. We were in a Ram 1500 and we blocked other parking spots due to size of the available parking spot, I’d say not suitable for any full-size SUV or truck. Several burned out light bulbs, missing sheets for one of the beds, and no extra trash bags. We also had tripped a circuit breaker when running the microwave (due to two window AC units on the same breaker), but Jeff was quick to reset the breaker for us. Balcony is also shared and our neighbors at the time left it quite messy with food/drinks. Overall with some more polishing and care, this could be a great space but didn’t meet our expectations this trip.
