A newly remodeled, large kitchen (fully equipped) with bar seating and dining area that flows into the great room with views throughout of the pool area.

To enhance guests relaxation, the great room has a 65” HD Sony TV with sound bar. There are three spacious bedrooms recently carpeted and cable- HD smart TVs and two newly remodeled full bathrooms. In the great room, the large sliding glass doors completely open to an extra-large screened in lanai and heated pool and Weber grill. The Home-office with French doors has a day bed, laser printer, copier, scanner, & WiFi. There is a google home in the kitchen, garage parking, plus additional parking area, hammock, w/ many spectacular palm trees peppered throughout the property, 4 bikes, beach accessories, and so much more.

Conveniently located near everything! The Pantlind Island House is just seconds from the bridge for easy access on and off the island. The home is walking distance to shops & restaurants, and a 20 minute bike ride or 10 minute drive to the beaches. The Pantlind Island House offers all the resort amenities that guests could ever wish for in a tropical paradise! These amenities and upgrades allow for guests to relax and focus on what’s important - like the beaches, boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, restaurants, wild life viewing, and many other unique island experiences.

The Pantlind Island House is meticulously cared for and when you walk into this tropical paradise, you might smell the island ocean air and feel the island love that exudes from the home. The main living area has vaulted ceiling’s and sliding glass doors that expand the entire length of the wall to an open air view of the lanai, pool, and lush tropical vegetation - where it will be hard for you to discern between the inside and the outdoors. The living room is equipped with a 65-inch Sony Smart HD TV with X-finity Basic Plus Cable with Bose sound bar and a voice command remote control. Guests can also watch their own favorite streaming programs on the TVs too if they wish.

Guests might prefer to listen to Island music from the Pantlind Island House’s Google Home which plays music at request, like hey google play Jimmy Buffet, the songs can be heard from the pool, while soaking in a 87-degree water or floating on chairs. Guests can dry off with large beach towels or by the warmth of the island sun on 4 Telescope lounger chairs, all provided by the Pantlind Island House.

For the more traditional coastal relaxation, guests can stretch out in a hammock hung between two large Christmas palm trees just off the screened-in lanai. While swaying in the hammock guests can look up at the blue sky and may be able to spot a hawk or eagle soaring by or hear a Burrowing Owl’s chirp. Along with bird watching, the hammock is a perfect spot for a good read like “Old Man in the Sea” or “Robinson Crusoe”.

Exploring the island at the Pantlind is easy - guests can hop on one of our 4 bikes that are complimentary. The bikes are accessorized with baskets and locks. It is around 20 minute bike ride to Tigertail Beach. While at the beach, admiring the turquoise waters of the gulf and white sugary sand of Tigertail beach, guests can bring their beach chairs, towels, beach bags, and shelling tools that are provided for use by the Pantlind Island House.

After so much relaxation guests will surely be hungry and might want to grill up some delicious Island barbecue on a Weber Grill out on the lanai. A Pottery Barn wicker table with 6 matching chairs is located on the lanai along with 2 other comfy wicker chairs. If guests prefer eating indoors there is a dining table that seats 6 people and a kitchen island bar next to the dining table that seats 5 people.

The spacious open kitchen has been recently remodeled with beautiful coastal quartz counter tops, large white kitchen cabinets and high end appliances. There are also additional appliances provided to ensure much island fun: 2 coffee makers, one being a Keurig, 2 blenders, hand mixer, and 2nd refrigerator in the garage. Also plastic plates, bowls, and cups are available for poolside snacks. The kitchen is also stocked with basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, and spices.

The Pantlind Island House provides additional relaxation inside the home with cozy, coastal reading and game nook filled with good reads and books on Florida hiking, wildlife and shelling identification books. These books are special to us and our heart ❤️ because one of the main reason we love Marco Island so much is its natural beauty and the Island’s protection of the wildlife (especially endangered) and beaches.

When it is time for guests to sleep, the Pantlind Island House values comfort with sleep as much as island living. The “Master Bedroom” has a king bed and is equipped with a 45-inch HD Smart Cable TV. The cozy bed has a soft light-weight down comforter, with luxurious linen and a new memory foam mattress. The room also has a ceiling fan to stay cool if guest opt out of air conditioner. The master bedroom also has a sliding glass door with access to the pool and lanai. There are 2 wicker chairs and table to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or juice after a good night's sleep.

On the other side of the island house there are 2 additional bedrooms. The “Tropical Room” which is on the left hand side of the wing and has 2 full beds - both with new memory foam mattress, light-weight down duvet, comfy sheets, large dresser, hanging rack, and 45-inch HD Smart Cable TV. The “Tropical Room” has a ceiling fan and 2 windows with views of palm trees that are scattered throughout the spacious yard.

The 3rd Bedroom, the “Jungle Room”, is located on the right side of the wing of the house and has a gorgeous 4 poster bamboo queen bed (hence jungle room) with a new memory foam mattress, light-weight down duvet and cozy sheets with a good size closet, a dresser, ceiling fan, and a 35-inch Smart HD Cable TV with remote.

There is an additional full bathroom that has a combined shower and bath that is located off of the hallway with access to the pool area for convenience of coming into the bathroom directly from the pool. The bathroom has beautiful quartz countertops, plenty of plush towels, and hair dryer.

For guests who need to do a little work before fun and exploring the island🌴 the Pantlind Island House has a private office with French doors that can be closed for a little quiet - if needed. The office is equipped with a laser printer that has air printing, copying, and scanning capabilities. The office also has an additional private sleeping area with a single bed.

Additionally provided for guests: maps, restaurant and shop list, guide books, portable queen air mattress with cozy bedding for visitors, a full-sized washer and dryer, vacuum, handheld vacuum, extra towels, and many cleaning supplies--to keep the house clean during your stay.

With the meticulous level of detail that we have provided for our guests, we are hopeful that it will be apparent just how dear to our heart ♥️ the Pantlind Island House 🌴 and Marco Island is to us. It is our wish that you will enjoy your time at the Pantlind Island House, fall in love with the island, get swept away and treasure it as much as we do!

By far the best rental home we've stayed in - and the absolute cleanest! Pool is very private, home is beyond fully stocked, lacking nothing. Great location. Super comfortable. Great communication from manager/owner. Home is even better than photos. Would definitely recommend.

Jim Heglund and Emily Pantlind Heglund live in Rockford (Cannonsburg area), Michigan, with their 2 dogs, Blaze and Glory and they all appreciate warm weather and the natural beauty of the home and island!

Jim was raised in Ludington, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University. He is retired from the company he owned and was president of REALICO, Inc. that specializes in condominium management, marina management, and commercial real estate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He continues to work as an excellant realtor in Grand Rapids, Michigan for JH - Reality Partners. Jim has 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. He is a Master Taekwondo Instructor and teaches youth Taekwondo at the local YMCA.

Emily is from East Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her Great Grandfather built and operated the Pantlind Hotel which is now the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan, so hotel business and hospitality is in her blood. She went to Miami of Ohio University and grad school at the University of Chicago, but her heart belongs to the University of Michigan! Yes, she will root for MSU, unless they are playing Michigan, of course. Emily is a therapist and Realtor in Grand Rapids. She managed a Vrbo in Grand Rapids—The Pantlind Lakehouse. She was a premiere member and consistently number 1 in the Grand Rapids market. Therefor setting up a Vrbo/short-term rental in Florida was natural for both of them.

Why they chose this property

Marco Island - “Had us at Hello!” ❤️
Why we purchased a house in Marco Island, Florida? Well, first of all we are from Michigan, need we say more... Polar Vortex... ❄️ We fell for Marco Island because of its sub-tropical warm climate, natural beauty, and varied architecture of homes and neighborhoods, with few gated communities. The island is convenient for getting around by car, bike, or on foot, and is very close to the bridge. No matter where you live, it is easy access to beautiful beaches, water to view swimming dolphins and manatees, marinas, restaurants, boutique shopping, and numerous other water activities along the coast and Marco River.

The atmosphere on Marco Island is very laid back and unpretentious, a true coastal town, where rarely is there a need for a dress code. With a maximum speed limit of 35 MPH on the main roads - you can’t help but be on coastal time. The low number of franchised restaurants and stores allow for islanders to discover and support the amazing local restaurants, shops, and hangouts.

We chose our home for its open, comfortable floor plan, extra large lanai and updated kitchen and bathrooms. We like having a corner lot with its well-manicured lawn, colorful shrubbery, numerous large palm trees and flowering plants, which gives our guests a true tropical paradise experience indoors and outdoors.

Most importantly, we are impressed with Marco Island’s commitment to the protection of endangered species. Marco Island is dedicated to educating the public on the local wildlife that are at-risk. The island is home to several federally protected species: the bald eagle, burrowing owls, loggerheads turtles, gopher tortoise, & manatees - to name a few. The community offers several programs where residents and visitors can be involved in the process of the protection and growth of the endangered wildlife.

With all of this said, it did not take us long to fall hard for this amazing island! We hope that you will too!🌴

What makes this property unique

Why choose the Pantlind Island!
The Pantlind Island House is well-appointed to help guest relax and enjoy the island. The home offers many TVs, charming furniture, luxurious bedding and towels. The open floor plan, vaulted ceiling, large sliding glass doors and lanai provide for true tropical living. The house is decorated with an intentional coastal vibe. Many of the pictures on the walls are done by local artist. Marco Island is close to Naples but has that relaxed and remote island feel. The traffic between Marco and Naples can be heavy at times but everything on Marco is easily accessible. All the beaches are amazing and we especially love Tigertail Beach! You'll love the subtropical climate with all the canals and the Marco River with manatees, dolphins, and much more wildlife. The protection and education of endangered species is very important to the islanders and to us too.

The location of the Pantlind Island House is easily accessible from the main bridge into Marco. Plus, restaurants and shops can be reached easily on foot or by bike (we give you 4!), and the beaches are a 20 minute bike or 10 minute car ride away. To leave the island, there is only one turn left and one right turn to the Jolley bridge. Barfield, the street bordering the house, can be fairly busy at times, as it is a main street to Old Marco, the Jolley Bridge, and the Estates. Fortunately, the Pantlind Island House, located on a large corner lot, has a 5 foot hedge that creates privacy from the street and helps reduce car noise.
