About this property

Stay like a king at The Marengo, located near the Alamo, Riverwalk & the Pearl Brewery dining area! The Marengo is a newly restored historic building located near all the major San Antonio attractions: the Zoo, Brackenridge Park, the Museum of Art, & Sea World. Centrally located, this is also a perfect place for traveling nurses or military guests on TDY. Named after Napoleon's warhorse, The Marengo is a touch of France in San Antonio that you will thoroughly enjoy and want to visit again.

We take pride in the Marengo and took this unit to the studs to rebuild it. With all new electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and finishes, this is a new home in a historic district. We are working hard to maintain the original charm of this building with it's Four-Square Architecture, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright.

The Marengo is a second story flat in Unit 3 of the building. (If you are not comfortable with stairs, please consider our downstairs unit, Little Texas.) It has a private porch off of the main bedroom where you can view downtown San Antonio at night with a glass of wine. The front door is a keyless entry lock. The code of the front door will be based off of the guest's cell phone number. For your safety, we have Ring Video Doorbells installed.

In an effort to keep this a peaceful neighborhood delight, quiet hours are from 11PM - 7AM. No parties are allowed. Smoking and drug use is strictly prohibited.

Great Location, Lovely Accomodation

This unit in a quadplex was the perfect location for our trip for Fiesta! The rooms were beautiful and exactly as pictured. Would definitely stay here again but might try one of the other themed units!

Wonderful!

This place was perfect for a girls weekend. Beautiful, welcoming space, all amenities that we needed. Quiet, comfortable and clean! Very close to restaurants and activities, we took Ubers to most places but the pearl is about a 15 minute walk which we did a few times. Marshall and christa were very responsive and accommodating. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Girlfriend vacay

This was a perfect location for two girlfriends visiting each other. We spent most of our time downtown so convenient for that. Nice kitchen fully equipped. Spacious closets and wonderful laundry room. We felt safe in this neighborhood.Neighbors were noisy and one of us heard them come up and down stairs late at night. Shower needs some scrubbing which I brought to owner’s attention. Definitely recommend property as a good value.

We are Marshall and Christa, founders of Merkava Investments, LLC. Marshall is a graduate of USMA, West Point, NY, and a 20 year Army veteran with experience in leadership and project management ($45M asset management, 70-man company leader, 11 deployments, outstanding achievement awards). During a break in service (2002-2005), he was a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and BearingPoint. His last assignment (2005 - 2014) was with the Department of Defense managing B2B sales in austere locations. He is currently with Johnson & Johnson selling bio-tech pharmaceuticals. Marshall began managing properties in 2007.

Christa is a management/technology consultant with experience in Corporate Strategy, Performance Improvement, Project Management, and Finance. Over her 15 year career, she has managed a $120M P&L, led C-level sponsored projects and large global implementations. She is Lean-trained and a Six Sigma Black Belt; she holds a Masters in Management Information Systems and a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX.
