Step up from a motel but step down from a hotel but great potential
We did not like this place at all. Check-in was a nightmare, and we needed a manager bc the staff did not know how to check us in. It was originally for my 80+ year old parents and they tripped a few times on the carpet because of all the folds. Everything in the place was extremely dated as you can see from the posted pictures which have been doctored to make the place appear nicer than it is in person. The TVs are very small, the remotes have the batteries held in with black tape, and old so you cannot see all the numbers/functions. That also is the same for the appliances. This does not work for those over 80 who don't see well or always remember where the numbers between 1 and 6 on the toaster should be... The master bed mattress dips slightly in the middle. Also, not good for elderly. After the first night, they asked to leave. My husband and I decided we would just take their place since it was paid for. We stayed one night only. The smell in the place was very bothersome for me (it was tolerable for my husband). It could be mold as I noticed the bottoms of the cabinets had lots of water damage. I did not want to use the kitchen because it looked clean on the surface but not really as I had noticed the first day obvious dirt/food was around like crumbs around the toaster, wiped areas in the fridge that were not completely wiped clean and then the cockroach on the 2nd day and the signs of rust on the appliances. We told a friend of ours they could have the remaining nights. I put the towels to wash so they would be clean for her. The washer is Extremely loud. Don't know about the dryer as I told our friend to put them to dry. That was the bad news
The good news is the location is great and central. Not only to the parks and attractions and dining but also the unit's location in relation to the layout of the whole resort. The resort seemed very clean and quiet. The kids splashpark looked great. We did not use the amenities but did look at them and they looked great and one of the pools we saw was very nice and large. If we had stayed, we would probably have used these items. The unit itself is a great size, the bedrooms apart, rooms large enough. The double screened balcony is fantastic. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with plenty of towels. Kitchen had all you would need. Unit was quiet. Other than check-in, all staff we met were very nice. IF the unit was renovated, I would give it all 5s and it would be better than a hotel.
