About this property

Whiskey River Camp Hidden Creek / Sleep Where The Shine Was Made!

This is our first family / small group camp! Sitting alongside our small falls, this site is quickly becoming a guest favorite! Whiskey River has 2 tents sharing the same campsite making it perfect for families with kids who want their own space or for small groups.

Whiskey River is our first Handicap Accessible camp! It is equipped with a wheelchair ramp and wider / smoother paths to assist our guest in getting around.

Rumor has it the more than a few gallons of Shine have been made on Enitachopco Creek. Remnants of stills have been found all across our 138 acre property. Perhaps you will find your own relics as you hike or bike our miles of groomed trails!

Come and enjoy our beautiful camp on the banks of Enitachopco Creek! Our property is abundant with wildlife. (Deer, Turkey, Fox, Bobcat, Coyote, Squirrels, Raccoons and more) Hike our well groomed trails or or bring your mountain bikes and cruise through our woodlands.

Enitachopco creek is renowned for red eye bass fishing. You can also try your luck with large-mouth bass and various varieties of bream. Our creeks are easily accessible, scenic and fun for all. If fishing isn’t your thing, sit soak and let the fresh running water cool you down.

Our tent is set up with a queen size bed for your comfort. There is room on the floor for a twin air mattress or two if you need the extra space. We can also pitch standard tents in your camp area if you need additional space, (see "Extras" for cost details.

Although we are a primitive campsite with no electricity or running water at the campsite, we try and make you as comfortable as possible. We have a privacy enclosed "Out House" and a "Solar Shower" for your convenience.

The quaint towns of Ashland and Lineville are nearby and offer boutique shopping and dining if you decide to leave the property. Be sure and take in the Jeanette's Auction each Saturday Night in Lineville, you won't regret it!

Nearby Attractions:

Talladega National Forest and Cheaha Mountain State Park: Both are short drives and offer miles and miles of hiking and biking trails for all skill levels. Take some time and discover locations like Bald Rock and Salt Creek Falls!

Lake Wedowee and Flat Rock State Park: a short 30 minute drive and you find yourself at one of the South's finest lakes. Weekend's at Flat Rock are something you won't forget!

Talladega Motor Speedway: For the NASCAR enthusiast we are ~ 45 minutes from the track. Enjoy a weekend at the races or take a day and tour the NASCAR museum.

Beyond Expectations post Thanksgiving Getaway
We can not think of enough superlatives.. First-Gorgeous property right by a bubbling stream. Heaven to hear, especially at night! Second-Extremely comfortable beds! Will never “regular camp” again! We slept so well.. Third-Fabulous hosts..this really should be first ;) checking on us often but not at all intrusive..battery pack for lights and phone charging, filling tiki torches, firewood, freshwater, propane heater (so cozy!), camp lights, implements for grilling, Adirondack chairs with cushions right by the fire pit/water Fourth-Terrific amenities..my personal favorite was the coffee bar with a beautiful view over the water. Available 24/7..bathhouse with a really nice shower, towels included! Starter basket in yurt with bug spray, fire starter, TP, etc. Fifth-weather! Gorgeous 2 days. Enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the fire, fall leaves, and water. We will most definitely be back!! Want to try the tubes and the solar shower ⛺️😊
