Live theater at the Western Center for Fine Arts, located near the Marina is fun, as well as the local Farmer’s Market and Antique stores. Be sure to take a scenic ferry ride to Seattle for a day of shopping, Pike’s Market, and/or ride the mono-rail, to check out the view of Puget Sound from the Space Needle. Additional day trip destinations include the Olympic Rain Forest, Ocean Shores and/or Mt. Rainier or Mt St. Helen’s. The Kitsap Transit and the WA State Ferry System can take you on scenic journey to The San Jaun Islands, and British Columbia.

Surrounded on three sides by greenbelt, you feel like you are living in a tree house. About the Owner

After teaching for thirty four years and maintaining cars, airplanes and properties for even longer, we have retired to a life of creating 'home'(s)along the west coast and sharing with others. Our Port Orchard home is a keeper! When we are not working on a home, in a yard, or on the computer, we are enjoying grandchildren, traveling, reading, walking with friends or 'workng out' at the YMCA.

Very nice! Would recommend to others!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great! The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The landlord kept the yard looking very pretty. We especially like the smart TV in the living room where you can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video among other things. We were also very happy to find such a nice place that allowed us to have our dog with us.

The house is in a great location. We enjoyed walking down the hill to town and going to the public market. Our favorite was Carter's Chocolates in the market. The foot ferry is also right at the bottom of the hill and that was very convenient.

The views from the large windows in the house are very pretty. The back yard reminds me of a rainforest. There were several times we saw a family of deer grazing in the yard.

Thank you again for sharing this beautiful home with us. It was perfect for our 3 month stay while shopping for a sailboat.

Excellent short term housing for families

  • 5 of 5

We are a military family who needed housing for about 2 months while we waited to move into our home. This place fit our needs perfectly. It is well stocked and very spacious. The owners are helpful and quick to respond. It is located on a quiet street with very little traffic, yet close to downtown and 2 miles from Walmart and other shopping. Our kids enjoyed watching the deer and other wildlife from the back deck. We would recommend this to families or anyone else needing temporary housing.

Owner's Response: If you want a scenic, fun filled day of adventure: Walk down the hill to the foot ferry and cross the inlet to Bremerton. Transfer to the WA State Ferry to Seattle. In Seattle, you can easily walk to Pike's Market, shopping outlets, or catch Rail to the Space Needle. (All without having to deal with traffic and parking) Then come back to the comforts of home.

Tranquil vacation

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my 6 month old son for a little mommy/son bonding time while daddy stayed home with the pets. I had such a great time I booked a 4th day as we weren't ready to leave. The house was more than big enough for larger groups. The living room has a huge LCD tv and I know most folks appreciate that. It had everything I needed for cooking even though it was only for myself. There's a lot of light inside with all the windows and that's important to me. We didn't need the 3 bedrooms but they were all charming.it poured the entire time so we did a lot of driving and shopping. Port Orchard is a very cute little town. Silverdale is 15 minutes away and it has absolutely everything and every store you could think of! We went two days in a row because they have everything. Another great thing is this rental is on a private dead end room so you don't have to worry about noise except from nearby neighbors. The backyard has a beautiful view of a ravine. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this property. We stay in vrbo rentals every month or 2 and we're never disappointed.

Comfortable family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four arrived for a ten day stay at this lovely vacation rental within easy walking distance of the Port Orchard downtown area.

The home was well stocked, very clean and comfortable making it cozy and easy to settle in to right away. The neighborhood was quiet, and my children even made a couple of friends to play with over the course of our stay.

The owners are very hospitable and greatly assisted us in connecting with the resources we needed to conduct our local business and fully enjoy our family vacation time. Hotels are nice for a couple of days, but it is so much more pleasant to be able to stretch out across several rooms when on a holiday with the family. I would absolutely stay here again and very well may on our next visit to the area.
