About this property

The lakeside cottage is a great getway on the water. It feautures a flat shoreline with a sandy bottom. There are shared paddleboards and kayaks with the property next door. There is a golf course lcoated across the road from the property, which has golf, pickleballs, and other activities to enjoy.

Built in 2012, the cottage has many modern amenities. There is a cozy living room, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a dining room with a beautiful view of the water. It is the perfect relaxing getaway. The cottage has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub/shower.

Room A: 1 Queen bed
Room B: 1 Queen Bed
Living Space: 1 Queen and 1 twin sized pullout beds

We will be available all day for any questions or concerns that may arise during your stay.

There is a $100 fee for the first pet and $25 for every pet after. This a one time fee that covers the length of your stay. This fee is to cover the extra cleaning cost that is involved after hosting pets.
Rules
The number one rule at the lake is to have fun!
Also, please respect the property and facilities on the property. Remember to clean up after yourself and go through the final checklist before you leave.
Also please remember that there are close neighbors on both sides, so please be courteous when enjoying your time at the cottage. Please keep the noise level down during the day and quiet at night.
Due to an ordinance, there is a maximum number of people that can be on the premises.
When having a fire please make sure to burn responsibly and check for local burning bans before having a fire.
Rules for Dogs
We know you love your dogs; we know our neighbors love their pets, but our neighbors will not necessarily love your dog in their yard. So please, always keep your dog on a leash unless they are very well trained and will not wander. We do have a kennel available for dogs up to 60 pounds upon request. This is not intended to babysit your dog. The city of Sauk Centre has a dog barking ordinance so please make sure your dog is always supervised.
Again, we love our dogs and we know you love your dogs, but the people who stay after you may not love your dog as much as you do. So please make sure that all dog waste is cleaned up. Doggie waste bags are available upon request. Please place all waste bags in black garbage can in front of main house. If dog waste is found, you will be charged a cleanup fee.

Great Getaway Cabin

End of summer family vacay!

We loved our stay at this cabin! It was very cute inside, nicely redone and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our lake time and camp fires! Great spot! Birchwood Resort has awesome pizza!!

Nice place but problematic

2 bdrm. The advertised pull out sleeper couches are NOT to be considered - quite awful. While outside, fact remains that a family of bats live in chimmney wall of gas fireplace. You hear them all night if sleeping on awful pull out. Refrigerator died as soon as we stocked it. Took 24 hours and our suggestion to owner to provide dorm fridge. Lost half of our food. Owner provided small cooler until dorm fridge was suggested by us. Nothing was ever reimbursed to us for all of the ice we bought and food we lost. But owner assured us he woul "make it right". The drains were very slow - the shower always resulted in ankle deep water. The rental must not be used much as towels were a bit stiff and sour. No kitchen towels or dish rags provided. 1 bath washcloth was provided and 1 bath handtowel. We had 5 adults in our group. Otherwise nice house. No follow up from owner. Quite disappointed with him.

Sauk Centre Lake House

REally nice little cottage 30 feet from a beautiful lake! Nice grassy yard with shade, sandy beach and a small dock. Very quiet neighborhood in a nice clean little town. I'd go back!

Three weeks in Minnesota

Property was as advertised. Had a great time. The only negative was the back deck was too small and narrow to be enjoyed by more than one person.It was more like a landing than a deck.
