Property Details

Updated: Oct 21, 2016
4 Bedrooms + 3.5 Baths - (Sleeps 12)

Brand new vacation home. Luxury features throughout the home. Blocks Walk out your door to hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails in acres of National Forest.

Everything in this custom house is premium and over sized. Every room is over-sized, with extra tall walls and vaulted ceilings. Two large decks for al fresco dining and a giant hot tub.

Three large private master suites — all three have their own bathrooms, two have their own spa tubs. Plus a bonus room with two sets of bunk beds (so four twin beds) - perfect for sleepovers.

Luxury finishes ensure a great stay: hardwood floors, rock fireplace, custom alder wood doors & trim throughout the house. No expenses were spared!

Top of the line GE Profile stainless steel cook top, double oven/microwave and ultra quiet dishwasher are included in the custom Coventry maple cabinets with custom granite counter tops in the kitchen as well as throughout the house.

HIKING: There is a terrific loop trail that starts from the house for a good evening walk. Walk out the front door and go up April Drive to the top of the loop. Go left and through the gate. Make a right and follow the trail through the woods. Cross the stream and continue on. When you get to the major intersection where the signs are make a left back towards the house. Follow this trail until reaches Heavenly. There is a great lookout here of the lake and sunset from the top of the rocks. You can then head left back to the house where you started.

* Note: This home is not rented on craigslist. Please do not get scammed by people on craigslist trying to rent you vacation homes!

About the Owner

My family has had a vacation home in South Lake Tahoe since I was 10 years old. 20 years ago, my father moved there permanently. For the past 10 years, my father and I have been building homes in Tahoe and selling them. But this one I built for myself and my family (that's my wife and new daughter in the photo). I work in Advertising in San Francisco and manage other family vacation homes for many years.

Beautiful House!

Let's Go Preds! Nashville, TN

What a beautiful house to stay in during our trip to South Lake Tahoe! Lots of great space for socializing and very comfortable, huge bedrooms. We invited friends staying at the local casinos to dinner several times. The kitchen/dining area was well suited for entertaining... we had 13 people at one time and still plenty of room! We'll be back!

Family Getaway In Style

Diana T santa monica, ca

We had a fantastic time with close friends and family at this luxurios South Tahoe home. There were plenty of room for us, and we were seven adults and three children. It takes minutes to get to the slopes, casinos and even the lake. On a typical day, we had a full day of skiing, followed by sledding on the lake and then a wonderful hot tub back at the house. The house is so close to everything that you can really fill your day with whatever you like. Plus, we have all the comforts of home, and then some. The kitchen is huge, well-appointed and perfect for our family cooking extravaganzas. We had a blast and will come back again.

Great City Getaway

Carlos C

This was an excellent escape from San Francisco. It is close enough to many options of entertainment and adventure in this beautiful city. Public transportation, bars, skiing, restaurants, supermarkets, hiking and if what you are looking for is peace and relaxation, they all are accessible in this wonderful property.

So much enjoyed this home. Better than the pictures made it look. Kids loved the bunk bed room, grown ups loved the suits. Got to see bear and her 2 cubs climbing trees across the road one morning. We are planning to go back every year! We highly recommend this beautiful, comfortable, fun house.

Great place for large groups

  • 4 of 5

The house is completely as advertised. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are 2 bedrooms with king beds, attached baths with soaking tubs, couches and small tvs. The third is much smaller with a queen with attached bath with a regular tub. The downstairs bedrooms have a bunk area in between which would work for 4 kids. The pack n play is in the upstairs bedroom and does have a mattress. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked nice, its out on the downstairs deck. The downstairs bedrooms are quieter, the upstairs bedroom gets a lot of road noise. The front yard was nice, however the back yard is overgrown and not really usable. The kitchen is adequate, nice and big with a lot of utensils, etc, and a variety of cookware. The living room is large, with one sectional couch and two huge beanbags. There is a lot of road noise affecting the upstairs. The walking trail up the hill was beautiful and highly recommended.

The home was really spacious, clean, and was easy to get there. There was easy access to the lake. We enjoyed a barbeque on the deck. The home was apart of a perfect vacation! I would very much love to come back! I highly recommend this stay.

Wonderful home in Lake Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

The home is well furnished and stocked with just about all the pots and pans you would need. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. The location is great, just a short drive to the water and casinos and has walking trails right around the corner.

Really great house -- great layout, great kitchen, great communal space, beds for plenty of guests, nice hot tub. Clear communication with owner, no surprises or hassles. We had a terrific time. We would definitely come back.

From the Owner

Location, location, location! We decided two years ago to build a house for ourselves. After months of searching we found the perfect lot. It's near Heavenly Ski Resort (where I've had season passes for many years and from where I can ski from the mountain to the house) and off Pioneer Trail (providing quick and direct access to the Bay Area, the mountains, the lake and the Casinos while avoiding Hwy 50). It also has miles and miles of hiking and biking trails right from the front door. Which was very important to our family. After all, what's a vacation home if it's in the city?

Activity and Interests

Nearest Barpub : Ski Run Bars at 1 Miles Nearest Golf : at 1 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Ski Run Restaurants (Best in Tahoe) at 1 Miles Nearest Ski : Heavenly Ski Resort (Less than 1 mile) at 1 Miles Nearest Beach : Great Sledding Hill too in winter - on Lake! at 2 Miles Car: necessary

The house is 1-2 miles from EVERYTHING (but everything is in different directions)

• Casinos: 2 miles

• Beach/Awesome Sledding Hill: 2 miles

• Grocery Store: 2 miles

• Heavenly Ski Resort: 1 mile

• Ski Run Blvd Restaurants: 1 mile

• Hiking & Biking Trails: Out Front Door

All beaches are public. Pope & Reagan beach are the best day beaches with BBQs and whatnot. Also Camp Richardson / The Beacon has a great hang out restaurant on the beach usually with Live music + the old Pope estate to check out. This is on the way to Emerald Bay (a great day trip) - stop at the ice cream shop on the corner - it's cheap! The end of Ski Run Blvd there is a long pier and a nice restaurant called the Riva Grill. The Red Hut has great breakfasts (two locations one on the 50, the other on Kingsbury Grade). Rude Brothers Coffee (on the 50 near Al Tahoe) has great coffee and treats. Cork and More has great picnic supplies and wine selection (Al Tahoe near 50).
