Three Winds is a modern beach home on Martha's Vineyard available for rent year-round by the week. It is located in Aquinnah, the island's westernmost end. The house sits on windswept rolling terrain, overlooking the Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands. Nestled into three-and-a-half acres, it's the perfect place to escape, rejuvenate, unwind, and relax in privacy.
Architects Charles Rose and Maryann Thompson designed this one-story vacation home like a camp. It's comprised of three separate buildings with pathways between them. Building one is a beautiful primary bedroom and bath with a walk-in closet. Building two includes a combined living/dining room, kitchen, and half bath with a wall of sliding glass doors. Building three has two bedrooms, a full bath, and a beautiful outdoor shower attached.
Building two also has a dramatic stainless steel staircase that goes up to the full roof deck with a large comfortable couch, lounge chairs, and a dining table that seats six. It's a remarkable vantage point from which to view the Vineyard Sound, the Elizabeth Islands, and beautiful sunsets.
There is access to a gorgeous secluded beach on the Sound, The Outermost Inn restaurant, and the Aquinnah Shops, all within walking distance. The house also enjoys access to Philbin Beach on the Atlantic side, great for swimming and surfing, and only a short drive or bike ride from the house.
