Family 3 Night Beach Stay

We will look into staying at St. Regis again upon returning to this beautiful island. Very friendly locals that love their home. We enjoyed the seventh floor Restaurant with a view and the Pirate Pub for lunch and cold drinks, both within walking distance. The pool is clean and refreshing and the balcony is a must to see over the sand dunes. It's a nice quiet area with a great family atmosphere.

Great Property

This home is beautiful. The location is perfect and we loved the close beach and pool access. The home was fully stocked with cooking supplies if needed and has enough basic supplies for our stay. My only notes to make are do not plan to have any communication with the management team while you are there. I messaged them about 4 times and they continued to ignore my messages on VRBO and send me check out instructions from basically day one. They seemed more concerned with turnover than accommodating my stay. Description says it has a keurig and we came fully prepared with our own cups for 2 mornings and 4 adults to have coffee and was surprised by the cheap coffee maker left and one bag of coffee for 4 adults for 2 mornings of coffee. The house, again, is beautiful and clean and spacious! There are no ceiling fans and I wish the instructions mentioned we need to pack out own box fans because with them only allowing us to drop the AC to 70 degrees, it gets really hot in the middle of the night. We went and had to purchase box fans for some air movement after our first night. Besides the lack of communication (literally none) and not being warned about how hot this house gets (multiple people left the same feedback in their journal inside the home on the home feeling very warm and needing fans), the house really was fantastic. It’s right by an elevator which is perfect for arrival and departure with all our bags! The balcony is beautiful. Everything was very clean!

What a gem!

My family has stayed at several locations on North Topsail and we have decided that St. Regis is the best. This unit has a great layout for two couples…with the bedrooms being on opposite sides of the living/dining area and the view of the beach and pool is wonderful.

Family weekend

The location is great and in general the place was fine. However, several items would have me not choose this place again. The beds are terrible, hard as rocks. The two pillows on the master bed were total flat pancakes. There were extra pillows in the closet, but only two extra pillow cases which we needed for the pull out couch. The extra pillows were no better and kind of gross, one with blood stains. We had no extra garbage bags, only the one already in the can. For three nights and doing our own cooking that was not enough. There were exactly 7 towels for 5 people for 3 nights, not enough. I guess we could have washed them if there was laundry detergent as we didn’t bring any. The kitchen had all the dishes you could need but were well loved. The cookie sheet was well seasoned and a little gross in my opinion but the frying pans were fine. No salt etc, we’ve stayed other VRBO where the hosts extra touches make for a better experience. The curtains in the master were very thin so the lights that stay on all night outside from pool and other building shine through and it’s kind of bright for sleeping. Bedding was old, not a crisp clean feeling. We did not sleep well with the hard beds, flat pillows, poor bedding and the light shining through curtains. The view and location are fantastic. A few upgrades by hosts would make a big difference.
