Great spot for East Charlotte
Wonderful little home. We had a few hiccups with getting the combo and wifi info, but the property manager was excellent and responded to my questions quickly and helpfully. Nice kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to find and located in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for people that need an option in East Charlotte! Will def stay again!

Unmet potential
This property is adorable and the property manager was easy to get a hold of and helpful/friendly... but I would not recommend this property. The tiny, but spacious, detached home has it's own fenced yard, driveway, and what may have once been an adorable outside space for hanging out and having fires. But. The home feels rundown overall and wasn't particularly clean, including the linens. The linens had stains and lint, which may not mean they were dirty, but the perception was there and that's enough for me to feel a little gross when climbing into bed or using a towel after a shower. The fire pit area was "creepy", as a family member stated, due to the overall feeling of neglect. The inside of the home was similar. The floors had a weird slick feeling (like maybe it just received a swipe with a swiffer in between guests?), the shower glass was dirty, the curtains had stains, the walls had scratches and scuffs everywhere you looked and the bathroom sink/vanity was seriously about to topple off the wall - it pulling away from the wall and extremely crooked. The rubber stoppers on the sliding library ladder to reach the loft did not work, so when using the ladder to climb 10 ft up/down, if not careful it would jerk around. The banister at the edge of the loft was not secure, I touched it once and it swayed so I didn't try again. That could be a big safety concern for younger kids/teens, if staying. The neighborhood was okay, a quieter residential area about 15-20 mins from the south, central, and northern parts of the city - a pretty central location without being right in the thick of Charlotte, which I did like. I was on the fence between two and three stars for this review, until I received a phone call 4 hours after our check out time to inform me that a box of snacks (available for purchase) that was on the counter had apparently been "broken in to" during our stay and I was going to be charged an exorbitant amount as a result. We did not touch this box during our stay. The property manager stated that they had a protocol to follow for the situation and he just wanted to give me a heads up before I received a message about it through the app. I never heard back from him or VRBO, yet I now have an additional charge to my account. This stay was not worth the high initial price, and now I've been charged extra on top of it. I would not stay again or recommend this home.
