About this property

Percival's Perch at The Judge Jones Historic Homes

A beautiful new space in a 100-year-old home in the historic district of downtown Flagstaff! This upper level of the home has its own porch with views of the San Francisco Peaks and Mars Hill (Lowell Observatory), and a relaxing and spacious layout that can accommodate longer stays as well as short stopovers to adventure in Northern Arizona. Just a short couple blocks walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants.

Welcome to our charming short-term rental property, nestled within a spacious 7-unit compound consisting of two homes. This particular unit is perched above the main house, boasting its own private entrance via an upper porch. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen complete with a dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The separate bedroom features a brand-new mattress and fresh bedding for your comfort. Entertainment options abound with a Smart TV offering access to Netflix and other apps. The bathroom has been recently renovated, showcasing all-new fixtures, and you'll enjoy the convenience of heating and air conditioning. Plus, on-site parking awaits you just at the base of the exterior stairs. Whether you prefer bar seating or a spacious dining area, there are various options for you to feel right at home.

While staying with us, you'll also have access to a shared backyard space, which is occasionally frequented by other guests and their dogs – all are welcome to enjoy it.

The living area offers picturesque views framed by original restored windows. Here, you'll find a comfortable sofa and chair for reading or relaxing.

From the porch, you can even catch a glimpse of Lowell Observatory, located just up the street. Nearby attractions include frisbee golf and Thorpe Park, complete with a children's playground and tennis courts. The property owner resides on-site, just below your space, and is more than happy to offer suggestions for dining and activities during your stay.

One important note: The exterior staircase leading to the entrance has been recently rebuilt and is well-lit with solar lighting. However, please keep in mind that it may not be suitable for very young children or individuals with mobility issues. If this is a concern, we have ground-level accommodations available in the Aspen and Park Historic Homes that may better suit your needs – feel free to inquire!

Situated in Flagstaff's downtown historic district, our home provides a convenient stopover for those venturing to the Grand Canyon. You'll find yourself within a couple of blocks of the downtown area, where bars, shops, restaurants, and the train station await. Thorpe Park, offering frisbee golf, tennis courts, and a children's play area, as well as Lowell Observatory, are just a short stroll up the street.

The entire upstairs suite plus access to the shared back yard

Our historic home has many great modern features but heating and cooling are not one of them. We do have a central heating system in the winter along with extra portable units. In the hotter summer months, we supply a window unit and a portable air conditioning system for this space plus fans to keep you comfortable.
This is a second-floor unit so stairs are required and it sits above the owner's space in the home below.

I would like to start off with the positives. The apartment had everything we needed, It was spacious, and the location was good for walking to stores and restaurants. Now for the not so good. Everything seemed real cheap ( picture Ikea furniture that did not match) The floors bounced and no attention to detail. For the price I don't think it was worth it. We rented a house in Prescott a few days later for a little more and got a 2 bedroom ,2 bath house that was beautiful. I hope this is helpful.
