2022 Thurs - Thurs. Summer rentals! Skip the long lines and late ferries

Lovely 4 bdr., 3bath home. Yes, this is a house from the movie- weekend at Bernie’s! However we did feel like it needed renovations. Looking fabulous now and ready for you to enjoy a wonderful vacation on our beautiful island.
From the moment you get on the ferry you can begin to unwind and start to enjoy the uniqueness of a vacation on Bald Head Island. Once you arrive on the island you will find a tram waiting to take you and your guests to " Weekend at Bernies". You'll walk into a large open great room, surrounded by windows and a vaulted ceiling.

The home has 4 bedrooms. Three with King beds, then a bunk room with a bunk bed, a twin bed and 2 trundles. All bedrooms have smart TVs. Ideal for 2 families.

You'll want to hit the beach as soon as you can. You are approx. 200 yds from a day in the sand and surf. Or you might like to head towards the marsh to one of the nature trails, take a lazy ride in a canoe or kayak, or get some exercise on a paddle board . And of course your visit must include a climb to the top of the lighthouse.

Then back to your beach house where you can binge your favorite show on the TV in the great room or grab a chair on large screened in porch for afternoon sun and ocean views. Look closely, you may see dolphins in the water, turtles on the sand and egrets in the sky. There is even a TV on the side porch for your to watch a game while enjoying the ocean breezes. Or you may want to relax in the back porch where you can catch a glimpse of the 17th tee on the award winning Bald Head Island Golf Course

You will find three golf carts, two 4 passenger and one 8 passenger, for your explorations around the island. We only guarantee that two carts will be in working condition but in most cases all 3 should be ready for your use. For an additional fee you can enjoy golf, tennis, dining and the wonderful children and adult pool areas at the nearby Bald Head Island Club. Guest membership’s are purchased directly through
the club after rental is in place.

Bald Head Island Home

This property was adequate for our stay with two other couples, but the property is in need of pest control and updating. The porch is in need of paint and two of the TV’s didn’t work. This property could be a beautiful spot with some minor updating!!

Good, but......

Good size, location, & nice spaces. Had mostly everything one needs but condition of things was sub par. Very Good proximity to beach & BHI club, market, etc. The property needs some TLC - was clearly not kept up to BHI standards/Cost ($) of stay (ownership transition problems(?)). Sending a note to owner to address it for future renters. Decent price/local but property needs a lot of TLC to want to rent there again.

Great location

Although you can't see the water, we loved the close proximity to the beach access. The house accommodated our two dogs well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Veterans Day getaway

House was ready early!! Arrived to a super clean home. Decor looked new and was really pretty. The bathrooms were recently renovated and beds were foamb. Kitchen was well stocked. Gas grill came with back up LP tank, a plus sine the oven had an element out so we grilled out mostly. Porches were my favorite place to be with nice furnishings and a TV to watch football. 3 golf carts were great but larger one was quick to die and slow to charge so just used the 2 carts for 4 ppl.. 5 new adult bikes were great! Overall 5 ⭐️ loved the comfy beds and extra pillows, plenty of beach towels, books, games etc nice touch to provide wireless speakers for us to use, extra chargers and plenty of 🔌 plugs for easy access on the night stands.
