This large 1 bedroom condominium is just a few yards from the ocean and is located in Kauai, Hawaii on the sunny south shore of Poipu Beach. The resort has only 71 units and is nestled between the beautifully landscaped Prince Kuhio Park on one side and a lush, tropical garden and pool on the other side. From wall-to-wall windows in the bedroom, there are ocean views, park views, mountain views, and a view of the sunrise! The ocean is so close you can hear the ocean waves from the bedroom at night. The living room has a great view of the pool and garden through large picture windows. The beach is famous for surfing, snorkeling, and sunsets! Unbeatable price and location!
The surfers and body boarders are regulars at this beach.
Entertainment is within minutes of this centrally located condo. Two golf courses are less than five minutes away - Kiahuna Country Club, and the championship Poipu Bay Resort Course - site of the 1998 and 1999 PGA Grand Slam of Golf. For open ocean dives, as well as sport fishing, sailing, and ocean tours, go to the nearby Kukuiula Harbor for charters. Tennis lessons, matches, or round robins can be arranged at either the Kiahuna Tennis Club, Poipu Kai Resort, or the Hyatt Hotel Tennis Club - all within a short five minute drive.
A variety of restaurants and shops are a few minutes away in Old Koloa Town (circa. 1830) or the Poipu Shopping Village. Also dinner is served right next door at the Beach House Restaurant - highly rated for good food and magnificent Poipu sunset. The Kauai Visitor Information for the South Shore lists many of the attractions in the immediate area.
Inside Prince Kuhio Resort #114, you will enjoy a modern condo. Below is a list of amenities that make this vacation rental so unique:

There are also excellent views of mountains and the park from the bedroom. The tropical garden comes right up to the large picture window in the living room and you have a great view of the pool.

Location: We have been vacationing in Kauai since 1984 and it didn't take us long to decide that we like this area and Prince Kuhio Resort the best.
Stayed for 11 days. Condo was clean and very well equipped. Tastefully decorated, granite counter tops, tile floors and freshly painted. It had 2 bathrooms, all principal rooms were generously sized. Sheltered parking. Best part was its location, just steps to a great snorkeling beach, lots of shopping and good restaurants. The 'Beach House' right across the street was superb all the way to great burgers at 'Tropical Burgers'. Everything in southern Kaiua was within easy reach, 20 minute drive to Lihue for all necessary shopping.
Would stay again, would recommend it.
Thanks Jack and Dorinda
This is a very nice condo and would stay again.
The condo is just a short drive to many of the nicest beaches and restaurants. They keep this condo very clean and it has all the amenities of home. The pool is just outside the door of the condo so that is very nice and they do shut the pool down at sunset, that is also very nice as it keeps things quite. They also stock the condo with a couple of beach chairs and coolers. It is not on the beach it is across the street, but you still have a view of the ocean from the back patio. I liked this place very much and would recommend it. I had a great time and really enjoyed my trip. Thank you.
The condo was roomy and met our needs. Would have liked some type of lanai privacy, we
noticed the first floor lacks that in the front everyone walks by and in the back they are so close you feel obligated to chat with your neighbor....or hear them... great small community atmosphere and well kept on the outside. Well stocked with coolers, chairs and boards. Condo could have been a bit cleaner it was smelly when entering in the late day. We tried the no AC and we would prefer AC next time. We also loved the location it was very convenient and great snorkel beach. The parking garage was a bonus for keeping bird poo off and heat of the day out. Well stocked kitchen however no dishwasher.
New tv's are needed and perhaps nicer storage for the cooler and laundry basket area but other than that it was very clean, very comfortable bed and nice sheets and we really appreciated the beach chairs and cooler and freezer packs
My husband and I had a great vacation in Kauai and this condo really enriched our experience. This place is right by Lawa'i beach where we enjoyed snorkeling, snuba diving and sunbathing. Right next to the beach, the restaurant "Beach House" is great for a romantic dinner while watching the stunning sunset over the ocean! The surroundings are also great for running any time of the day. The house is also about a mile away from the "Spouting Horn" where the blowhole spouts the ocean water. The owners, Jack and Dorinda, were extremely helpful from the moment we booked this place. They sent us very detailed information about the house which made everything go smooth for us. They were also very responsive whenever we emailed them. The house was quite spacious for us, very clean and well-organized. They also provided the beach gear, couple beach chairs, beach mat and boogie board, which we utilized a lot. We also spent great time in Poipu beach, couple shopping centers around it and the old town Koloa (a must see)-- all are about 5-10 minutes away by driving. Overall we had a wonderful experience staying in this place and visiting Kauai. We would definitely love to come back to this place for our next Kauai vacation.
We enjoyed our stay in this unit. This was our first visit to the island, and we were not sure about the location going in but it turned out to be a good fit. This part of the island had less traffic and was not as busy and crowded as some east and north parts of the island. Yet this area was convenient to a number of south shore beaches - including one right across the street. The grounds were well maintained and the pool appeared renovated recently. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning with the sunrise to warm us. The lanai overlooks park land that is well maintained. There were a lot of roosters but we didn't mind their wake-up calls. The ocean is within view but I would not consider this an ocean-view unit if that is what you are seeking. Parts of the unit appeared recently renovated and others were a bit dated. I would say that this is a very spacious unit - far bigger than we required. I also want to mention that the kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc.. were excellent - everything we needed to cook. All in all this was a great base for exploring the island. We would come again.
