Property Manager + Home Owner Booked Over My Reservation & Failed to Mention It
Well... Communication was fine up front when I made the reservation. I got all my normal confirmations, etc. I made my reservations 2 months before my stay. 3-4 days before we were scheduled to arrive, I received the standard confirm e-mail with the property address. We arrived to check-in & there was a vehicle in the drive. Thought it might be cleaning people. Waited 15 min. & rang the Ring Doorbell - no answer. Knocked on door - No Answer. Called the phone # for property owner or manger in ap & left message. Messaged them through the ap. Received a call from the manager asking if I got the cancellation & oh yes, we have a long term 3 month renter staying there & so sorry. I asked about a refund and oh yes they would get right on that. Then a call from the property owner with basically the same info... BAD BUSINESS!!! Yes, I understand that you were contacted by someone else who wanted to rent long-term, but at least be good at your business and cancel when you decide to overbook so that whoever is affected by your decision isn't inconvenienced and stuck trying to find a rental spur of the moment. Thank you for refunding quickly. We did appreciate that. It came in handy as we had to scramble on a Saturday evening to find something nice for our four day weekend in Tulsa - not to mention that very day, Saturday was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were coming back to Tulsa just for fun and good memories.
