Perfect rental for us on short get-away.

This was our second visit to this property. We returned to it because we had such a good experience the first time. We were not disappointed. It is very well equipped and the level of cleanliness is superb. We highly recommend this property.

A wonderful spring break in mountains and forests

My daughter and I stayed in the property for the spring break. Its location is great! Even surrounded by woods and visited by deers, the property is only 5 min away from Brookshire and 10 min from Walmart. Amazing! Hot Spring is 10+ miles south, and if driving north from the property, you will encounter a bunch of lakes in the woods! The property is cozy and well furnitured. I like the kitchen in particular - it has all kinds of cookware and seasonings I need for cooking. I also like the patio where I sat for a whole afternoon reading books and enjoying coffee. Bruce is very nice, friendly, and responsive. I will definitely stay there again, not for next spring, but this autumn!

This home had everything my family if 3 needed. We consider this home our Thanksgiving Retreat with all the amenities of home. Absolutely love everything. Look foward to our annual stay.

Wonderful host, beautiful home.

We couldn't be more pleased with our stay at The Green Cottage. Bruce, our host, was always ready to assure our stay was everything we hoped for. The house is immaculate, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We certainly hope to return.

In 2021, we established the Green Door Cottage. We purchased the home, because we are both golfers, love to hike and enjoy the beauty of nature found in Hot Springs Village and the surrounding area.

We have both enjoyed successful, professional careers in management, and enjoy traveling, both internationally and domestically, meeting new people, spending time with family and friends and learning new things. Most recently we took up Pickleball and thoroughly enjoy the fast-paced game and the fitness benefits.

We currently live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and spend as much time as possible in beautiful Hot Springs Village!

You are renting an entire home! Ideal location, comfort and convenience! The Green Door Cottage is only two miles from the West Gate of Hot Springs Village, and provides quick, easy access to numerous restaurants, grocery stores, a pharmacy, Walmart and other shops.

Just 1.5 miles from the Desoto Golf Course and less than 15 minutes from 8 other amazing golf courses in The Village. Way Point Marina is less than five minutes away, providing quick lake access, great morning coffee and sandwiches, as well as one of several hiking trails in The Village.

Quiet - there is nothing as comforting and relaxing as settling into the back porch at The Green Door Cottage late in the afternoon with a good book and just enjoying the serenity of the forest behind the house as the sun sets. If you are lucky, you may see deer walking in the woods, or even wild turkey!

Inside the house, you can curl up on the couch and catch your favorite TV show or sports or, gather round the large dining room table for a great meal or a family game night!

When the sun sets, you can enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage around the backyard fire pit, while the silver moon moves across the starry night sky.
