Sea Winds I was perfect

We so enjoyed our stay here. To be able to be right on the beach and affordably was fabulous. Yes the place is a bit dated as far as furniture etc however we didn't come to Holden Beach to judge the furniture, much less sit on it for hours! We came for the beach! And we loved this rustic home and its proximity to everything else. The home is lovingly set up and had everything we needed. Definitely would stay here again :)

The Unexpected

The first day we got there we noticed the place looked dirty, especially the sheets. The TV only worked for 1 day and we did not expect the owners of the house to be upstairs and us to be downstairs hearing them all week. As the week went on we found numerous cockroaches everywhere and everyday in the house. The final straw was a giant cockroach crawling along the wall. This caused us to leave our vacation a day early. We will not be renting here again, nor do we recommend it.

Sea Winds I -misleading

Not impressed with Vacasa as the mgt company which tainted the trip overall. The "apartment" is small, dark and furnished with very heavy, dirty cushioned furniture. Beds fortunately were relatively comfortable. The beach access was nice except you had to go up and down the steps from the first floor exit then back down the steps at the beach. The outdoor seating is very misrepresented-again if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy the beach view you had to go upstairs and sit in the plastic chairs, no real privacy from the second apartment not to mention the upstairs unit is in grave disrepair. Upon entry the place appears clean but our second morning there I was greater by several red cockroaches, not palmetto bugs, in the shower. This is a problem for me as I am allergic to them. Communication through Vacasa was good on things that drove their business but not good for things that benefit the renter. This apartment needs lots of work and to say it would be comfortable for more than 2 people is an overstatement. I will not be renting another property through Vacasa.
