Great location, needs some updating
On the positive side, the location was great. It's a second row house with view of the water and beach access right across the road. Amenities in the kitchen were plentiful. I saw one review that complained about the beds. Our bed was great. One bed was extremely soft but we didn't use that room. My daughter's was fine too.
On the negative side, the house needs some updating. The amenities listed in the locked shed were pretty much unusable. The boogie boards and the grill were in very poor shape. Some lights didn't work in the house and none of the clocks were working. This didn't bother us really but if you were counting on it you would be disappointed.
We were however disappointed when we got there that the house had not been cleaned and we had to wait an hour an a half past the check-in time after we called for them to clean it. This was the biggest negative.
We had other issues with originally booking a different house that became unavailable. I was pleased with Vacasa on this other than the time it took for getting someone from relocation to finally answer the calls from the agents. Every agent we spoke with (there were a lot) was very kind and professional on the phone. This part worked out fine.
If proximity to the beach matters a lot to you, this is probably worth it, but next time we visit Holden Beach we will try something else.
