It’s a ~20-minute drive to Scottsdale, ~60 minute drive to Canyon Lake, ~ 2-hour drive to Sedona, ~2.5 hours to Flagstaff which makes its own snow and is fun for skiing in the winter months. Also fun in the summer to get out of the heat and enjoy the casual vibe of small boutiques and good restaurants, take a chair lift to the top of the mountain or hike Humphreys. the highest point in the state (challenging climb with beautiful views for seasoned hikers). You can ski/snowboard same day and be back home for a late supper and drinks around the firepit in season. ~2 hours from Snow Bowl. ~5.5-hour drive to San Diego or Las Vegas.
