About this property

Kaha Lani Resort Unit #103
This is our dream vacation home on the garden island of Kauai! Our beautiful complex has a lovely pool overlooking the ocean and a well-maintained tennis court. The complex is adjacent to Lydgate park, which has a playground, disc golf course, protected swimming with lifeguard and picnic tables. Just as close is the 18-hole Wailua golf course. And it's only a one-minute walk to the beach or to the coastal bike path.
Our nicely renovated unit is 740 sq. ft and is on the ground floor with no steps up or down to the doors. It has a fully stocked kitchen and 1 1/2 baths - fabulous if you are sharing with another couple or family. Relax on the lanai in our comfy new (March, 2023) steamer lounge chairs or at our new (March, 2023) patio dining set, and watch the sunrise or listen to the waves with a glass of wine. It's an end unit with extra windows for cross breezes.
The newly-carpeted (March, 2022) and newly-painted (March, 2023) bedroom has a very comfortable mattress and the pull-out sofa in the newly painted (September, 2022) living room will accommodate another couple or children. We also provide 2 twin air mattresses in case you need additional sleeping options. The dining table is perfect for meals or games and puzzles.
Our unit is one of the few in the complex with its own washer and dryer, which were new in April 2022, and which will save you valuable vacation time and money! There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom as well as a box fan. There is no A/C in the complex. Pets are not allowed in the complex.
We've stayed in many condos in Kapa'a and this is the only one we chose to buy. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing stay on Kauai’s coast

We had a truly lovely stay in Mike & Kim’s beautiful condo. It’s like a hidden gem tucked back in a fantastic location close to pretty much anywhere you want to go, yet very peaceful and quiet and secluded feeling. The hosts have done a great job with having everything you could need for your trip, and they were quick to answer any questions. Sitting in the living area with the louvered windows open, feeling the cool air and hearing the ocean, brought such a feeling of peace and total relaxation, it’s hard to describe. The pool was wonderful and you can watch the sun rise and walk right down to the ocean! I would 10/10 stay here again.

A special place in a great location

Wonderfully quiet and relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed having a private lanai right next to beautiful lawns and trees and plants, and had great walks on the beach every day.

We love Kauai & the condo location!

My wife & I have been to the Big Island several times, this was the first time to Kauai! Not to be missed! Mike & Kim were pleasant and easy to work with. The condo had everything we needed. During our stay, the condo overall was good (no A/C needed with the trade winds), however, the cleaning staff could pay a little more attention to the tile floors, a couple of bath towels and oven mitts (all were a little soiled). Overall a very good experience at this location!

Lovely trip

Had a great stay at this condo. The place was as described, good kitchen facilities, comfortable, good location for getting out and around. Easy to travel from, but also just a great hanging out place!

About the host

We live along the front range of the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado and enjoy outdoor activities here as well as the vibrant theater district in Denver. We love to travel as well, with Kauai and Italy topping our list.
We are alumni of Northwestern University and of the Universities of Wisconsin, Maine, and Oregon. Kim sings in Kantorei, a Denver choir, and Mike has season tickets to the Denver Broncos.

Why they chose this property

Colorado has so much to offer, but no beaches or lush greenery. So those are two of the things, so plentiful on Kaua'i, that convinced us after just our first visit in 2016 that we wanted a Kaua'i home.
In 2021 we chose Kaha Lani for that home because here, as in Kaua'i in general, time slows down, allowing everyone to truly relax and breathe. Plus, the location can't be beat. It's only about 10 minutes from the airport to the south, and 5 minutes from Kapa'a to the north. It's also an easy drive south and west to points such as Poi'pu and the Waimea Canyon, or north to Princeville and Hanalei. With the varied microclimates on this island, being situated nicely in the middle means you can easily get away from any bad weather and enjoy your day.

What makes this property unique

Our complex is secluded yet convenient. It's in-between parks and has some of the most expansive grounds in the area. You will have privacy and a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. We love our unit because it gets extra light and airflow thanks to the side windows that only an end-unit has, and also because unlike most of units, it has a clothes washer and dryer! We also have great, walk-out access to the large pool and the barbecue grills. And if you like tennis, the well-maintained tennis court is just steps from our front door.
