About this property

Get away from it all but still stay close to everything at Camp South Shore. Lounge in hammocks in the pine tree forest. Drink coffee on the back deck while looking for birds. Play foosball or board games in the game room. Grill out in the backyard while playing corn hole. Float in the stock tank pool. Walk a mile to the lake for kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, and miles of hiking. Great for families, family friends, or couples. Only 3 minutes from downtown Bastrop and 45 minutes from Austin.

The home sits on nearly an acre of pine forest in the Lost Pines Conservation Area. Everything is at your fingertips: Adirondack chairs around a fire pit for S'mores, games and activities for the kids or the young at heart, two bedrooms with luxurious king-sized beds with memory foam toppers, a game room with two sets of bunk beds (4 beds total in that room). There are three TVs: one 65" TV and two 55" TVs. All linens and towels are washed and sanitized prior to your arrival.

The kitchen is highly functional and organized with a large area for prepping food or gathering on barstools. You'll have access to two different types of coffee makers, a microwave, wine glasses, blender, grill, baking supplies, Tupperware, etc.

The dining room table expands to seat up to 8 people. The sectional couch is great for larger groups.

The back deck has two lounge chairs and a grill. The pine forest backyard features a stock tank pool (10' wide x 2' deep).

The property is less than 1 mile away from Lake Bastrop down a tree-lined road, a 5-minute drive from Bastrop State Park (with a community swimming pool during the summer), 3 miles from the Bastrop historic downtown with quaint shops and several restaurants, 30 minutes away from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Circuit of the Americas, and a quick 45 minutes away from everything Austin has to offer.

And check-in can start as early as 3pm! Dogs are welcome for an extra $25 fee (for each dog). Please reach out to owner for approval.

We Love This House

This was the perfect place for us. It had everything we needed, an amazing view, and it is super clean and comfortable. It was also close to everything you’d want to do there. We had an event at the convention center and it was so close but still so private.

How was great for us but we have a few comments The front door window and play room door need some cover or blinds. Felt strange being so open to the front and the neighbor on the side The back porch really needed some tables and chairs Possibly a TV in the main for movies with the kids The grill was out of gas and pretty dirty The laundry room was fantastic The beds were comfortable and the room had great decorations and a home feel The fire pit and backyard with the lights were awesome Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed The fridge was small but worked well for our quick trip Overall we had a great time and would stay there again for our next trip Thank you

Wonderful property

Overall my stay was superb. I will break it down to pros and cons. Pros: beautiful nice size back yard. Bon fire was nice. The home itself was clean, well decorated and suited all our needs. It was easy to get into the house and lock up. I also loved that the rules for when we left were more than reasonable. I’ve stayed at places that have a million rules that ruined the fun. This place had normal rules and the clean up was easy. Cons: tiny refrigerator so not a lot of storage for that if you are staying awhile and cooking meals. No backyard fence. The yard was huge but I brought my dogs who kept running off and I couldn’t relax because I had to watch them. They being said… I was aware of this when booking so that’s on me. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!!! We shall be back.

Lovely home

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights while in the area shopping Round Top. The home was lovely, on a pretty piece of quiet and peaceful property. The property manager was very nice and helpful with ‘check-in’. I highly recommend this rental.

We knew we had to purchase this property as soon as we turned onto the road lined with towering loblolly pine trees. Camp South Shore is just minutes away from everything the quaint town of Bastrop has to offer. But it feels like a world away. The hammocks are truly my happy place!
