Beautiful, NOT private
The house, property, and view were beautiful! BUT there were some things that made it a less than comfortable stay. Upon arrival, we found a private closet open with clothes, jewelry, and prescription bottles visible. The keys to this closet were also sitting on a dressing table across from it. Set up for insurance fraud or careless oversight??? We found a variety of empty beer bottles and cans in one of the bathrooms. 3 of 5 in my party had wanted to take baths but the tubs didn't appear to have been scrubbed or bleached, so we all decided to pass. The kitchen sink didn't look scrubbed either. We had issues with the wifi on 2 out of 4 TVs the first night and total wifi failure the second night. BUT the MOST DISTURBING thing was this beautiful, fenced, gated property which appears private in the listing and certainly seems to be when you arrive, was NOT PRIVATE. The first morning, I walked through the yard. While standing in a garden, a woman with a dog emerged through the BACK FENCE behind the playground while I was standing there in my pajamas. This surprised me, but I said good morning. She told me she was the property owner. I told her "That makes this a little less creepy" She and a strange man who never identified himself walked through several times (also after dark) and the windows of an art studio on their side of the fence looked out upon a large portion of the yard. We felt as if we were being watched, "babysat" which made it quite CREEPY and uncomfortable.
