Heaven Up North
Took me back to a time when we had property “Oop Nort!” A quiet setting in the woods that did not disappoint. Lori was a wonderful host, with a gift basket and welcoming sign. Close to Mackinac Island and various other historic attractions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Birthday weekend
The property is located conveniently to the town but in a quaint setting. I wanted to go camping but my girlfriend doesn't like to. This property gave rhe best of both worlds. I was able to have my camp fire and she was able to have the comfort of home. I will definitely be booking this property for my spring trip. Can not wait.

Perfect Location
Lori's home was so cozy and she made us feel right at home with her welcome sign and gift bag. Even working nights, she promptly responded to my texted questions as soon as she had the opportunity. The house is out in the woods and quiet and we loved watching the birds at the feeder out the kitchen window. It was a short drive to I-75, easy to get across the bridge for our trip to the Soo, and just 10-12 mins. drive to Mackinaw City, so very convenient for our day trip to the island and our Labor Day Bridge walk. Absolutely loved the place and will definitely look to see if it's available next time I come up!

About the host

I was born and raised on the straits of Mackinac. I raised my family of 4 children in this home I am now renting. I have worked 10 years for the Mackinac Bridge Authority as a toll taker. I absolutely love my job! From the people I meet to the spectacular view daily of the ever changing straits of Mackinac. I currently live in Saint Ignace and just a phone call away when not in the booth.

Why they chose this property

Privacy, yet close to all the hustle and bustle that is the straits of Mackinac. Fantastic dining options, or a full kitchen in which to prepare a cozy home cooked meal.

What makes this property unique

Large private yard, surround by woods on three sides. The call of owls, eagles, and sea gulls are often heard in the evening. Outdoor fire pit for cozy drinks or some 'mores by a crackling fire. Inside, the coffee table lifts for a living room table for eating or computer use.
