About this property

Casa Viva | Pet Friendly, Near Historic Plaza

"The best of both worlds"…that's what you get when you stay at Casa Viva! On the one hand, you get incredible views of the massive mountain scape that defines the Southwest. On the other, you're just minutes from experiencing the amazing architecture of Santa Fe Plaza and the original Spanish Market Square! Conveniently located near historic downtown Santa Fe, this two bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home also gives you easy access to the nearby pueblos, where you can immerse yourself in the rich Native American history and culture of one of the country's most unique areas.

Just minutes from downtown Santa Fe, Casa Viva sleeps five people comfortably and is built in the Pueblo Revival adobe style. A light, bright, open-concept living area features tiled floors, wood ceilings (complete with viga beams), comfortable furnishings, a corner kiva fireplace and large flat-screen cable TV and entertainment system. Plenty of windows and skylights let in natural light and offer inspiring views of the surrounding terrain. Gather at the large, farmhouse-style dining table to enjoy a family meal or game night. Close by the spacious kitchen features a kitchen island and eye-catching Talavera tiles, while the expansive wood cabinets are well stocked with all the cookware, dinnerware, and utensils you’ll need to prepare your favorite Mexican dishes (or heat up leftovers from one of the many culinary delights the area has to offer).

Casa Viva's main bedroom features a luxurious queen-size bed, outdoor access and en suite full bathroom. The second bedroom boasts a comfortable queen-size bed and ceiling fan. Just off the second bedroom, a sitting room with twin bed is perfect for your little one or any overnight guests. Two gorgeously tiled full bathrooms plus a half-bath mean no waiting in line to get ready in the morning, and a laundry closet with washer and dryer let you pack light. A private enclosed patio and private balcony offers a spacious retreat where you can sit and enjoy sunny New Mexico's mountain views by day and starry skies by night while you grill up some steaks for fajitas.

Located in Historic Eastside Santa Fe and with its plethora of opportunities for skiing, biking, hiking, rafting and more, Casa Viva is the ideal spot from which to enjoy your Southwester vacation. So book your stay today!

Wonderful property and location
The property met our needs very well. When we had a weird HVAC issue, the property manager had someone there right away. It was great to be able to walk to the Old Santa Fe sites!

Very nice unit
The unit was very clean, bedrooms large, kitchen well/stocked with high quality equipment. Although the location is close to the downtown and the plaza, it sits at the top of a large hill, so that needs to be considered when if you want to walk. We had problems with one of the toilets, all low flow and the heating system. Maintenance came by several hours after I called and fixed the problems. But property manager said the toilets (Kohler) were problematic. Heating system is radiant floor heat, so not very responsive if change room temp. Only one wash cloth got three bathrooms. Very limited TV options, only local channels without cable. So not even CNN, ESPN.

Santa Fe Family Trip
We had a great time, the property has great views, and it was pretty well supplied with most essentials (take what you consider really essential or ask beforehand). Our main problem was temperature regulation, which actually wasn’t possible except by opening doors. A minor issue—the washing machine’s lid isn’t attached, and bring your own detergent.
